Nor is fomenting dissent and distraction by killing people of color to keep all the little people fighting racially amongst themselves. No one will rise up to defeat the powers that be in the shadows. Education will only go so far if you are from a poor country as a person of color. Rich, white corporate, royal, banking and tech-savvy people at the top of the heap of the economic ladder worldwide cant remain there if everyone is equal and wealth is fairly distributed.>> <<@Ingreed13 says : Well yes, there were tribes before the colonialists came. But what was the state of civilization in Africa in those tribes at that point? What point has the European civilization reached at 1500, and contrast how was the architecture, the infrastructure, the culture in Africa at 1500? What big thinkers and writers did you have, what cultural achievements? What kind of laws did you? What kind of religion did it have? What kind of mentality? And please compare to Europe and tell me why was such a huge difference in development. Because the poverty in Africa today does certainly not come from the colonialism, which civilized and constructed in Africa a lot, but it also does not come from laws who limit business making. It actually comes, just like before the colonialism- because the colonialists did not find a flourishing wealthy culture there, they found just primitive poor tribes living on a day-to-day basis who were then civilized by them, it comes from this huge gap of underdevelopment of Africa, from all points of view. Through colonialism the difference was maybe with 500 years reduced and through globalism now it gets always further reduced. But come to the root of the problem, explain why was Africa in the state it was in the 1500’. Also the native Americans when they were found by the colonialists they were also not in a very different state. Why was that? And please don’t tell that if colonialists hadn’t come, because you were practising free trading, Africa would have been prosperous now! Please! This is just ridiculous! If colonialists never came, Africans would have lived today maybe like Europeans around year 1200-1500!>> <<@user-qi8zc5ub9u says : Very eloquent lady and speaks the truth about Africa…it has all the resources to make it great 👍>> <<@singingone1 says : Depression is a spirit entity. At this very moment I’m writing this , 14 african countries are obliged by France, trough a colonial pact, to put 85% of their foreign reserve into France central bank under French minister of Finance control. Until now, 2014, Togo and about 13 other african countries still have to pay colonial debt to France. African leaders who refuse are killed or victim of coup. Those who obey are supported and rewarded by France with lavish lifestyle while their people endure extreme poverty, and desperation. country, taking all their property and destroying anything that which could not be moved: schools, nurseries, public administration buildings were crumbled; cars, books, medicine, research institute instruments, tractors were crushed and sabotaged; horses, cows in the farms were killed, and food in warehouses were burned or poisoned. The purpose of this outrageous act was to send a clear message to all other colonies that the consequences for rejecting France would be very high. Slowly fear spread through the african elite, and none after the Guinea events ever found the courage to follow the example of Sékou Touré, whose slogan was “We prefer freedom in poverty to opulence in slavery.”In fact during that turbulent period of African fighting to liberate themselves from European colonization, France would repeatedly use many ex Foreign legionnaires to carry out coups against elected presidents: Number of Coups in Africa by country _______________________ Ex French colonies Other African countries😊 Togo 1 Egypte 1 Tunisia 1 Libye 1 Cote d’Ivoire 1 Equatorial Guinea 1 Madagascar 1 Guinea Bissau 2 Rwanda 1 Liberia 2 Algeria 2 Nigeria 3 Congo – RDC 2 Ethiopia 3 Mali 2 Ouganda 4 Guinea Conakry 2 Soudan 5 SUB-TOTAL 1 13 Congo 3 Tchad 3 Burundi 4 Central Africa 4 Niger 4 Mauritania 4 Burkina Faso 5 Comores 5 SUB-TOTAL 2 32 TOTAL (1 + 2) 45 TOTAL 22 the CFA banks or the central banks of the African states .” Wrote Dr. Gary K. Busch It’s now estimated that France is holding close to 500 billions African countries money yearly in its treasury, and would do anything to fight anyone who want to shed a light on this dark side of the old empire. The African countries don’t have access to that money. However, saying it's just a small problem is extremely disappointing and worrying. Giving that to every other developed country is still benefiting throughout centuries really doesn't make sense..>> <<@TheDwarvenDefender says : Those who throw around phrases like "diverse perspectives..." Wade has made the connection that so many miss that the United States is a "Former Colony" as well? And UNLIKE so many more recent ones had to fight a war for our freedom that was a very close call. And that our former colonizer is now one of our closest Allies and that the Country, arguably, France, that many say helped make US independence ultimately achievable, has been one of the Least reliable allies in our History ever since. Ally when it is convenient for France. Arrogant contempt pretty much when it isn't. Maybe something to think about going forward. Folks also forget that Britain was the "Colonizer" who fought for over a Century to end the Transatlantic and also the Indian Ocean slave trade. And only in the last few years or so finished paying off the last of what it cost. Also their first Independent Colony fought a Civil War where more Americans died than even in WWII. maybe even BOTH of them to end slavery finally in the US. Folks also forget that the argument over slavery almost derailed Independence issue itself. Twice. Because no one could figure out how to proceed afterward. Something the US has struggled with ever since and now rears it's head yet again in the current "Woke" iteration that is really a thinly veiled Religion of Neo-Communism fused with some sort of Pagan Nature worship mixed with a reboot of a Roman Bacchus Cult. I would be beyond wonderful if Africa could get it's act together. It is still a work in progress in the US. And NOT the kind the "Progressives" here will ever bother to understand I don't think, or likely ever contribute much to other than negatively. Besides take potshots at constantly and pat each other on the backs for everything they manage to destroy that took literally Centuries for Civilization to claw it's way up from.>> <<@user-yp9ls1vs7l says : I have being following magatte for a while and she is just what africa needs.
