<<@AnitaOCG says : Dr. Peterson, Thank you. I am a single mother and I am always looking for wise advice on how to raise my child without allowing my single motherhood to damage her, and to give her as much possibility, as I can, for a productive future. This video gave me more direction, pointed out more things I need to address, in under 30 minutes, than many things I have researched. I am a psychology student at a university, but I have yet to sit through a lecture like yours. When I was younger my egocentrism was more prevalent tbh. I had a really difficult time making friends throughout school and even my first 2 years of college. The main thing that helped was becoming Christian and attending church and Bible studies. Instead, we should fear the people in positions of power that are pedalling these ingenuine ideologies. I believe there are people that genuinely feel uncomfortable in the body they have been born into & I have a suggestion as to why they feel it. I think reincarnation could be the reason why some people feel they are in the wrong body. If reincarnation is real, could it be that, before a trans woman's current life, in which she was born biologically male, she had had many lives, in which she was always female. If she is then born biologically male, it would be no wonder why she would "feel" she was born in the wrong body, due to her being so used to being a female. And, if people that Identify as non binary or gender fluid had had, say 20 past lives, in which they were male & female, in roughly equal amounts & which were equally mixed in order, might they be used to being both male & female, meaning some "feel" both genders at the same time & others, depending on the levels of hormones at certain times of day, week or month, which could also depend on what sex they were born as, not to mention their own unique physiology, biology & genetics, they may feel more female on one day/week/month & more male on others? I am biologically female & I'm lucky to feel at home in my skin but I do tend to produce more testosterone than most women so I can understand how our & our families unique genetics could be a factor in how this could affect whether someone "feels" more masculine on one day & female on another or that both can be true at the same time, like how my testosterone fuelled high libido can be channeled into feminine sensual & sexual seductiveness & prowess. I think it's perhaps a little lazy to suggest that genuine gender fluid people change what gender they "feel" like on a pure whim. Do you not think they wished they could always feel comfortable in their biological bodies? They just want to feel at home in their own skin. Can we not hate them because they are the one's that are having the wool pulled over their eyes. Can we just try to feel some empathy towards them & imagine what it's like for them to feel different from most of us & to just want to be accepted & all they see are people who feel hatred towards them & they can't understand why because the majority of them don't want to hurt anyone. They just want to be free to be them, whatever being 'them' means. Our fight is not with them; it's with the elites & their insidious desire to fuck everyone's lives up & get us to fight each other rather than them.>> <<@tarawhite4419 says : Glad I'm living the evergreen dream>> <<@NC_-ew5ck says : So dam well said dr Peterson!>> <<@KME4698 says : I take issue with one thing - his characterization of Protestant beliefs and actions>> <<@aramakato says : If I wasn't so broken and useless, I would save up money just to get a diagnostic session with you. We can teach about history of the existence of LG 2~300 years ago because it was found in a love letter sent by a man to his lover how saddened he can not share this love openly. We have interviews of German people who went to clubs that catered to LGBT before it was brought down by the rise of Nazi party. We can teach about societies and states that disallowed these interactions and punished them through shock therapy and sometimes death. But we CANNOT teach that LGBT is the absolute and the complete order of gender identity, because it is inaccurate and untrue. We cannot force children (and adults) into submission to use pronouns. It is wrong to teach children about anything without parental consent. Lastly, it is not education if adults/children are berated for asking questions and challenging the beliefs of LGBT and identity.>> <<@saytr4 says : You could have said most of that in 3 minutes instead of 30. Later he wanted my family to join a religious cult and give all our assets to the church and live on their campus. I had 2 siblings, older and younger, so I had to learn boundaries. My dad disliked the Christian church's idea of original sin, but you didn't have to tell me about my ability to be evil. I knew because I could observe my own actions, and see it needed to be moderated by careful strategy. It is strange my older brother, bigger and stronger, became the tattle, while I never tattled, thought direct conflict was the superior form of setting boundaries. My older brother had learning disabilities and dropped out of school, and died at 38 from opioids. At first glance, that doesn't seem to be a problem. Like what you like, right? But as I started looking at society, I started to realize that this was a symptom of a much bigger problem. I think the last young adult book I read was the Hunger Games. And it was pretty good. I liked it and it did engage in a very difficult topic in a fairly mature way. But it would be a stretch to call that book "challenging." It was good and that was it. I found the same thing when I tried to read Harry Potter and Twilight. But after I read "2001: A Space Odyssey" when I was seventeen, I was hooked on adult novels. Young adult novels just don't cut it for me. But for a lot of people, that's the only thing they can read. And there is little difference, except in degree, between successfully playing house as a child of three to seven (say) and doing the same as an adult. The basic structure for the cooperation and competition toward a shared end: the establishment of a peaceful, loving, productive, generous, secure, and playful home, makes itself manifest at that early age. Play is so crucially important to children and so utterly engaging to them because it constitutes a microcosm of the expanded adult social world.
