In this verse, there is no way that he considered millions of years but 24 hours. The ones who can’t believe that, I don’t wonder. They don’t know God. They don’t know how powerful He is. That’s why they can’t believe that it was possible that every thing would have been done in a normal day. Unbelievers… it’s so simple. Also, I’ve heard them saying that there is such a distance between earth and some stars that if the earth would have been done 6000 years ago, the light couldn’t have traveled to the earth yet… You fools. If God is so powerful to say a word and there is a star, would it be a big thing to call the light out of that star to shine in the whole universe? The word day, (yom) In Hebrew, when ever is used with morning and evening in Scripture, means that it was an ordinary 24 hour day. Why is it so hard to believe that an all powerful GOD can do anything. A six day creation is no problem for GOD! When a book contains ideas like: a dust man and his rib wife screwed the entire human race by listening to a talking snake, Hebrew speaking donkeys, sticks turning to snakes, 900 yr old people, god sends bears to kill children, angels had sex with humans to make a race of giants, Elijah rode around the sky in a flaming chariot, Joshua stopped the sun, stars will fall to the ground and a ghost sex conceived, born of an engaged teen virgin, mythological half god half man savior that died for less than 3 days is coming back riding a cumulus cloud to take believers to their mansions on gold paved streets in the sky!! If a science text contained one of these ideas you yourself would question the whole book and dismiss it. But because you have a favourable bias towards it because the book is offering eternal life, you look for every excuse to include it in modern science.
