Ive also struggled with this spirit and would like to share a few scriptures that helped me. Reading Scriptures of Love and other scriptures helped alot with overcoming the spirit of jealousy. Matthew 22: 37-39. Ephesians 6:12, we wrestle not against flesh and blood.... 2 Corinthians 10:4 our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God.... For so long I’ve just relied on online info and unfortunately that’s led to many false teachings. The two churches I’m picking from are as follows: Church 1 - • student community (I’m in college) it’s an international church and the pastor is expanding throughout the world. He has buildings in England, USA, Brazil, France, and currently building in Scotland •teaches from the NIV translation and says all translations are fine to use. • disagrees with once saved always saved • big community filled with people who want to do bible studies with me and teach me how to live like a Christian and be my friend (they told me to stop going online because I can’t see what people’s lives are like and if they practice what they preach) • meetings every Friday where we go to the park (60-70 of us) and we start singing worship songs and doing bible studies and sharing testimonies about how Christ changed our lives, and talking about how good Jesus is. Praising and worshipping him basically. We also have a segment where we go around the park and invite others to join us to try bring them to hear about God. We also fellowship with everyone and talk to each other and basically have a picnic • believes we should love God and know him personally • the pastor is convinced that God put me in his life for a reason, and after hearing my story he told me youtube hurt me and that I need to experience what it’s really like to live like a Christian and have good friends who want to support me spiritually. He kept calling me a leader. • believes no translation is 100% perfect Church 2 - • teaches from the KJV translation • disagrees with once saved always saved • much MUCH smaller community. I’d definitely be the only student there im sure. (About 6-7 people rather than hundreds like the other church) • only met the pastor once and I remember when I prayed with him I felt this peace that I haven’t felt in so long, but Idk if that was the Holy Spirit or not. • don’t think there will be any bible studies. Not as active as the other church (like hosting events, get togethers, fellowship, bible studies) • seems very quiet compared to the other church Also I’m a person who loves to socialise and get to know people. For the community aspect church 1 seems the best as it has hundreds of members that are students like me. But idk what to do. What do you think? I learned this in a psychologist's video, so it's an uphill battle to fight by approaching it with the person. I'll keep praying that the Lord OPENS the eyes of my haters & removes the envy, jealousy, & slander & that it backfires.
