So what he basically is saying, is, that our problem is sin. But we will never get rid of sin. So we'll always be in a desperate situation. Theologically speaking he is referring to Luthers famous statement "simul iustus et peccator". You will always be a sinner, because you are bad because you are a human. But when you realize how bad you are, what a horrible sinner and your beste deeds are nothing but garbage god can come to you with grace. So a protestant must stay and always return to a state of self nihalation. But Christian tradition and the holy scriptures speek of holiness and of actually becoming holy. The lords prayer speaks of harmony between my Will and God's Will not of self-destruction. In essence I would say Protestantism must lead (if you are not the strongest character) to depression. And I also say if you feel desperate to a catholic church and feel the warmth und goodness of god's presence and let it happen that god connects to you through the sacremants. By the way the breaks the bread you will see him.

Never mind the axiom that the Lord helps those who help themselves. You don't need a savior. You need to stop thinking you're fallen. If the poor pianist thinks they played well or God will fix it in post, they're still just a poor pianist who faces a choice between working harder or trying something else. Christ is an amalgam of thousands of mistaken Christians interpreting Christ who aren't playing Christ at all. That's not just bad playing, that's fraud. Its still their choice to work harder or try something else. Turek needs to try something else. I think he's working as hard as he can with a disharmonious symphony of inconsistent copy cats forging the Word of God. God's silent until they wrote a book about all the things God said they weren't there to hear.

If Im told the sheet music Im given was written by the greatest composer in the world, but it's written so poorly that it takes a significant amount of interpretative effort on my part to decipher it, whos fault is that? And if my best faith interpretation of the text sounds terrible, is it my fault? In reality this is a way to divert blame away from the Bible. There are parts of the Bible that, at the very least, appear to command or condone slavery, rape, and genocide. And if god is all powerful, and he wants people to know that these are morally wrong action, it should literally be impossible to interpret the Bible as justifying it. The fact that people do read the Bible and come to a different conclusion is itself evidence that God is either not all powerful, all loving, or omniscient.

NICE WORD SALAD FRANK JOHN 14.12 Jesus said : Truly truly I say unto you, he that believes on me, the WORKS that I do he shall do also. LUKE 19.37 .... the whole multitude of disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty WORKS / MIRACLES that they had SEEN. MARK 16.20 ... and they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, confirming the word with signs ( WORKS / MIRACLES ) following. DANIEL 11: 32 ..... but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do EXPLOITS. As a True Believer , I'm sure you have many testimonies, ( WORKS, MIRACLES, SIGNS, WONDERS, EXPLOITS ) that you have performed or seen performed by your fellow believers. Jesus must be very proud of you. Please tell of your raising the Dead, Healing The Sick, opening blind eyes and deaf ears. Etc etc Without doing the WORKS of Jesus, you're nothing more than a flag-waving phony. Or maybe, just maybe...your BOOK and your Jesus are not real.

Love, love, love this. So true and yet so comforting. Recently, I foolishly got into a debate with an atheist right here on YouTube. I am a strong believer in _not_ debating with someone over their false and/or subjective, non biblical "beliefs" on God and the afterlife, because it is an exercise in absolute futility. I should have used a more tactical approach in talking with this person, but it just didn't occur to me at that time to do that. Anyway, things didn't go well, and this person became so angry, that he called God an "immoral b*****d." Not only was I shocked at that --- that this person would cross the line of common courtesy and decency --- but I was also deeply hurt and offended because that was my _Father_ he was talking about. You insult the Christian's Father, the God they love and worship, you insult the Christian. If I had known that this person was going to stoop to insulting my Father, I never would have engaged with him. Although I myself did not stoop to his level and name call, I did get quite snarky in my responses to him. After thinking it over for a day or two however, I apologized to this person. I explained how Christians are ambassadors for Christ; his representatives to the world, and that I did not do a very good job representing Christ to him and that I had messed up. And so I apologized and asked his forgiveness; both to God and to this person I had been arguing with. But mostly I apologized out of love for my Abba (Romans 8:16), because I wanted so much to please him, but I also apologized to this person because I cared about his feelings, even though he showed absolutely no regard for mine. But I am so glad to know that even when I fail my Father, that he forgives me when I repent, and will never leave me. Not all the hypocrites are in churches. There are plenty to be found right here on YouTube. Maranatha!

I agree to certain extent, but that is no excuse for a Christian bad behavior either, because when you go to the hospital yes you come in sick but you leave healed that's the same thing with church when you go in sick you come out healed yes we ain't perfect I do understand that but there is no excuse for the church to be behaving the way they are behaving because the Bible talks about that we are open cards to the world 🌎 and we have to give testimony of Christ so we need to stop using that excuse to justify bad behavior that's why Paul said we have to be careful with our own self

An example of this man’s sophistry. Serious critics of Christianity do not dwell on hypocrisy within Christians since they know all too well that hypocrisy is part of the human condition and is within us all to some degree. He is attempting to rebut one of the weakest arguments put against his position. It’s practically a strawman.

Hard truth People who are in darkness and have never seen the light, never known and found the truth remain ignorant about people who are born of God whose faith in God overcometh the world of sin. 1 John 3:9 (KJV) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 5:4, 18 (KJV) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Born of God people are the children of God who by the transformative power of the Holy Spirit of God sinneth not while those people who never cease from sin as they cannot cease from sin are called CURSED CHILDREN. 2 Peter 2:14 (KJV) Having eyes full of adultery, and THAT CANNOT CEASE FROM SIN; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; CURSED CHILDREN: Ceasing from sin doesn't meant you no longer need the Lord Christ Jesus but only meant you are abiding in Christ and walking in the Spirit. 1 John 3:6 (KJV) Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not... Galatians 5:16 (KJV) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. The church of Christ is not a church of sinners but of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

So about 10 years ago, my pre teen daughter came home from school with a crucifix on, and I didn’t buy it for her or give her permission to wear it. She said that she had made friends with kids from the Christian teenager club that had recently been formed and was interested in the Bible. I explained that it was full of contradictions and was a primitive superstition that illiterate herdsmen had invented to explain what they couldn’t understand. I told her I didn’t want her to hang around with those kids anymore. She complied … or so I thought. About a month later, she told me that she was thinking of getting BAPTISED of all things. That was all I needed to hear. I contacted the school and made a formal complaint, as the God Club we’re not allowed to recruit on campus. They were told that they could no longer use the library annex to hold their meetings. I explained to her about paganism, islam and all the other spooky nonsense, I described the harm religions do and about their indoctrination of the vulnerable … as well as how they exploited people throughout the world to make money for their leadership. My daughter promised me that she wouldn’t have anything else to do with them and I believed her … she’s a good girl. She soon lost interest in religion and refocused on her studies, which had begun to slide during this period of being targeted by the cultists. That was a decade ago and she is now happily free from their influence. Two years ago, she came out as being gay and I was so happy to hear that. If she had succumbed to the harmful doctrines of superstitious mythology, she would most likely be trapped in a loveless marriage, denying her true nature and living a lie, with all the guilt and fear that Christians foist upon their followers. She and her partner are expecting their first child next year. A gay male friend of theirs had donated some sperm and they had both been inseminated. My daughter has become pregnant and her partner is continuing to receive his sperm … they want to have two kids with the same donor so that they can be blood siblings. They are very happy and have even given the donor permission to visit their children and have a (limit) relationship with their kids. I am so happy that I was able to stop the rot of religious indoctrination before she was able to get exploited by it. 😊

He was an example of perfection so that we would have a guiding light as to the correct direction. As a person that doesn’t know what this existence is and I am in a perpetual state of confusion contemplating all the possibilities of this world‘s existence. I think that’s a healthy view of Christianity though. It can’t be forced on to people through laws. the best way to proving your point is to live it by example so that they can see the results. Christianity has helped build stable community around the world. The idea that he was perfect so that we don’t have to be, is not a good perspective to have or that perfection is unachievable. I believe It is possible that Buddha achieved enlightenment of some sort, and could have chose to no longer exist, but instead chose to remain here, so that he could teach us ways of inner peace, that if we could all achieve this, it would help accomplish an outer peace amongst the people around us. But as Buddha teaches, it is our desires that get in our way how different is that from what Christ was teaching, not much.
