I have had a harrowing 2 days.>> <<@ganeshgunjal9073 says : If you had used "3d ultra quality" on waifu2x You might've got better video upscale than avc.>> <<@michaelewaski780 says : Thanks!>> <<@MWcrazyhorse says : They require 8gb Vram? Does this mean a 6GB card won't run AT ALL? Or will it just be much slower?>> <<@backinthegame34 says : The final file size for topaz was much smaller than avc.>> <<@techstormster says : The product AVCLabs makes looks fake. I can tell it's an AI enhanced Video. The others not so much, and Topaz retained the most realism.>> <<@richh650 says : These are nice but I see a VERY LONG render processing times for most PCs as any video not extremely short could take days to render.>> <<@KiwiClawDHA says : Imma try the Waifu. Imma either do 15% 1080 or 1440. Should look amazing as I upscale videos.>> <<@anosvoldigod2943 says : Gpu 1650 Fps upto 120 Cpu ryzen 7 4800h Takes more than an hour to convert 1080video ๐Ÿ˜ญ Ram 8 will soon upgrade to 24gb I have chosen the cpu as the processor is my decision correct or not?? But let us not forget: this butterfly is not a "red admiral" or "admiral" etc. it is a Peacock Butterfly, Inachis io. If we decide to be very precise about one subject, namely, video processing, I cannot see why another subject area should be treated "wishy washy" or "good enough", No I want Precision all around.>> <<@dzulrashdi6689 says : So I can render animation low resolution and up scale it to HD. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ>> <<@DSHolmstrom says : I bought and used Topaz as a tinkering amateur and really appreciate knowing what other options have become viable in the past few years. This comparison feels a little bit unfair to me since (and I do not understand why) AVCLabs is set to the 'Ultra' Quality setting but for Waifu2x-Extension-GUI the lowest quality preset (fast) gets chosen for the comparison. I know it would use the Real-ESRGAN Engine in the Highest Quality Preset but am not sure which one gets chosen in the Fast Preset, would need to check later.>> <<@JanVaskoSG says : thanks bro it's really help>> <<@iCach0 says : I think AVCLabs is the worst looking one. Look at the antennae and the reflections on the wings. The background is also completely broken. Too aggressive. Waifu2x was the best by far, then Topaz and AVCLabs dead last.>> <<@enghemo27 says : ุดูƒุฑู‹ุง>> <<@Alexrocks1253 says : I think after 8K which is called Full Ultra HD (jeez they keep coming up with rediculous names), there will be Extreme HD, where a pixel is so small where you can't even see it with the eye against the screen. I feel that anything above 4K really is overkill, except maybe in the virtual reality space with very high pixel densities and a lens magnifying them up.>> <<@smile768 says : This is great. I didn't know about these packages.>> <<@stephenkeever6029 says : Really glad you made this comparison video! I have been considering image enhancement software for old recordings incorporated into new videos but I was skeptical on how well they actually worked. It would be worthwhile, although take a lot more time and effort, to take an original video with two different cameras at the same time, one at low res and one at the higher res. Then compare the upscaled low-res video with the original high-res one.>> <<@sparks1943 says : As always informative and the result of a great deal of work. I'm shooting at 1980x1020 12 fps The video right off the card looks excellent. Once I loaded up until YouTube it's pixelated. I noticed it mainly when I was flying over treetops. I have been shooting on autofocus. Do you suppose if I put it on manual focus or Infinity it would lessen the pixelation.? Thanks. Keith I just don't understand why it's clear right off the SD card, but once it's in the editor and pushed out on the YouTube as an mp4 I'm always getting this big time pixelation I noticed it mainly on my big screen not so much a phone.>> <<@stephenrichards5386 says : New OKdo ROCK 4 SE SBC>> <<@importon says : you should have chosen low quality in topaz. Amazing!>> <<@Ibrahimdude says : My 1st Super Thanks. have a wonderful day Chris :)>> <<@marcsmithsonian9773 says : So, instead of razor sharp image we will get Mr. Scissors sharp... a new quality..>> <<@SpaceMidget says : Worth noting that in Topaz, Artimis Low, Medium and High, do not mean the quality of the output, but the quality of the input video. So, for your 360p video you should have used Low or Medium. The difference is notable.>> <<@ktvx.94 says : Thank you so much for this video! I tried waifu a while ago and got pretty bad results, so at least this gives me hope that the paid alternatives aren't necessarily much better and that with more tweaking I could do better. I'd like to point out that AVC makes parts of the image look like they're hand-painted, which is very visible in the white spot of the wing. Waifu did that to the video I tried and AVC seems to do it even more.>>
