This comparison feels a little bit unfair to me since (and I do not understand why) AVCLabs is set to the 'Ultra' Quality setting but for Waifu2x-Extension-GUI the lowest quality preset (fast) gets chosen for the comparison. I'm shooting at 1980x1020 12 fps The video right off the card looks excellent. Once I loaded up until YouTube it's pixelated. I noticed it mainly when I was flying over treetops. I have been shooting on autofocus. Do you suppose if I put it on manual focus or Infinity it would lessen the pixelation.? Thanks. I tried some of the upscaling AI tools on some old webcam videos that my kids shot of themselves many years ago in 640x480 at 15fps. The result is really decent, not only upscaled, but also noise reduced. I tried waifu a while ago and got pretty bad results, so at least this gives me hope that the paid alternatives aren't necessarily much better and that with more tweaking I could do better. I'd like to point out that AVC makes parts of the image look like they're hand-painted, which is very visible in the white spot of the wing. Waifu did that to the video I tried and AVC seems to do it even more.>>
