I remember seeing Dr. Turrek mentioned that before young Christian enter college, there is 70% of them. While in college that drop to 25% still with faith. My brother was one of those 50% that lost faith. And then after college some come back to the faith back to 50%. One thing Dr. Turrek said that the reason being is the parents didn't tell their children why you need religion or faith in relationships with God. I am a Catholic a Christian myself and trying to raise 2 daughters on the faith in God and looking for answer to tell my children why they need religion and faith in God. The Bible clearly says the Earth is flat yet most Christians will fight you to the death to defend the idea that they live on a spinning sphere (travelling around the sun at a breakneck, antichrist speed of 66,600 miles per hour, mind you) and read it into the Bible in the most ridiculous ways. I'm not perfect by any means, but I think our problem with compromising our faith goes a lot deeper than just what's going on right now. In fact I think these encroachments might be partially due to the fact that we've shown ourselves to be so easily pushed off our convictions by the pronouncements of men. If they can get us to say that the entire cosmology of Genesis is just an allegory for whatever "modern" science tells us is actually true, then why not try to force us to kneel at the LGBTQ altar? It's certainly worth a shot if I'm an outsider looking in.
