The word "race" today's thinking has root in Darwinism (biological races) and not ethnicity (like nationalities, different tribes etc. (Consider that two people today can be viewed as the same race by arbitrary Darwinian standards but be of totally different ethnicities. It's why Jesus confronted the Pharisees in this way John 8:37-42 37 “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have [n]seen with your father.” 39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. 41 You do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.” 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Even though they were physical descendants of Abraham, they aren't considered true descendants because they rejected Jesus (who is God). Man places great emphasis on physical appearance and their categories, but God looks at the heart. (you see this with professing Christians who still are influenced by Darwinian thinking in terms of race. It's best if we move past Darwinian thinking as a whole if we desire to combat this issue of people saying they are not the gender they were born as..) In short, Satan has confused the world and made people even Christians think upside down. Made people think Race is real and gender is arbitrary. Truth, Race is arbitrary, and gender is defined. Race is not ethnicity. And ethnicity isn't purely based on phenotype. (often not even being a thing) I get what you are trying to say, but I wouldn't use that as an example. I guess she's "trans argument" since she can change whenever she wants. (*wink) *** She may be a biology major, but my guess is she's still in the rudimentary stages of her education and knows just enough to be dangerously wrong about a lot while thinking she knows it all. Being a biology undergrad doesn't make you an expert on transgender theory, obviously, any more than me having an Info Tech degree makes me an expert on all things computer related. It means I know some things that are useful, and if I can analyze, test and prove that something works in coding I implement it to the benefit of my users.
