You been a good faithful Christian all your life but because of some tragedy you're lost in your faith momentarily and accidentally died. I don't really blame them when they assume that, because of the legal system we have in countries today. You commit a crime, you serve some time in jail then boom you're out. You see, that only makes sense because here on earth, time is the most important resource. You're literally taking part of someone's life when you send them to jail. But in the afterlife? Time is nothing, it's basically done away with because of eternity. So time isn't the right measurement to use when looking at God strikes His judgement. What is then? The blood of Christ. Only the blood of Christ is enough to cover sins - not time, not the blood of lambs, not money, nothing. So to reject this Christ whose blood was shed for you? You'll be separated from Him forever by your own choice.
