It was a complete 100% worthless waste of fucking time. We learn literally nothing new, and while technically Kratos gets a little tidbit of new info it changes absolutely fucking nothing about what he was going to do anyway. I think of all the critiques you could level at the rest of the series, having pathetic time wasting filler bullshit isn't one of them. Fuck I was so pissed the fuck off by that scene with the norns. Fuck them and I hope in the next god of war they show to be horrifically and painfully butchered because fucking christ they were so annoying. God what a fucking joke pathetic fucking level. Single handedly moves the game down to 7/10 for me.
