I have serious asthma and often use the condition as a reason not to do something which is liable to aggravate my condition. The point is that they were not alone, Christians in the gulag did not go in together but found each other in there. My life in the British Army 1975-1997, taught me one great lesson....comradeship. My intake of recruits still keep in touch and we help each other out. Social media plays a great part in this which shows that it is good as an adjunct to life, not a substitute for it.
