There are many gods, or rather, versions of God in the various religions. Even within the same religion, there are several to choose from, which further contributes to the diversity and confusion. There are good gods, evil gods, and even gods who are both good and evil, such as in Christianity. There is the most popular god he who loves you but is also capable of hating you and sending you to hell if you do not believe in his son and love him back as he deserves. This god is very similar to the god of the other religions who relate ONLY to your achievements, judging you either worthy or unworthy of "membership in the family" based on the quality of your deeds. Let's take a look at this good and evil dualistic god that many Christians believe in, and we read from Genesis 6:6-7: "Then the Lord repented that he had created man on the earth, and he was filled with sorrow in his heart. He said: "I will destroy from the earth the man whom I have created, yes, not only man, but also cattle and creeping things and birds under the sky. Because I regret having created them." Already in the first book of the Bible, number 1 of a total of 66 books, God therefore regrets that he created humans. But he regretted not only that he had created them, but also everything else that lived on earth. What kind of god is this? I can't even take the life of a kitten, much less a human, but God is so deeply sorry that he actually chooses to carry out a mass murder of apocalyptic proportions. In order to kill everything that lived on the earth in a single act, God constructed, according to himself a fitting response to his repentance, a flood of water that lay upon the earth for 150 days, and: "Thus the Lord destroyed every living creature on the earth , both people and cattle and creeping things and the birds under the sky; everything was destroyed from the earth." (Genesis 7:23) Try to imagine the sight that met Noah, his wife, and his three sons with their respective wives when they stepped out of the ark on the first new day on earth. After all, the field must have been covered with bloated, half-rotting corpses of babies, children, adults and the elderly. Not to mention all the animals and birds (what wrong had they really done?). A battlefield in the First World War must have paled into pure paradise in comparison? And the Christian god must have been behind this scenario? Is he the one we should love, worship and preach? This mass murderer of both humans and animals, from newborns to the elderly? For me, this story is so grotesque that I don't take it seriously, and if something in the Bible does NOT match the life and deeds of Jesus, then this is at the very top of this list. But let's read more in the Bible about what reaction God got when he saw what he had done to his own children, his own creation. "Never again will I curse the earth for the sake of men; for the thoughts of the human heart are evil from their youth. Never again will I kill all living things, as I have now done." (Genesis 8:21) God repented that he had repented, and promised that he would never again be so angry that he would kill all living things (at least not with water). Here I ask you to stop and think a little about what we actually read in the Bible. We are therefore talking about the Christian God, our God, and the God with a capital G that is preached about in many congregations and churches. This is the god the majority of Christians actually believe in, the one who we preach loved us so much that he even sacrificed his own son for us. But what are we reading here? Yes, that he first regretted that he had created us (including everything else that lived), then carried out the mass murder of the ages, but afterwards regretted his horrible act. Did God not understand the consequences of the flood? Are we seriously supposed to believe that? Even I understand what a global water flood will lead to inhuman suffering, horror, anxiety and a mass death of an unspeakable nature. Forgive me for asking you this question, but doesn't this sound more like a psychopathic and totally emotionless dictator, than the loving God that Jesus came to show us? Don't you see that something must be wrong here, because Jesus forgave, showed grace and mercy to all people, and even gave his own life for us. But here is described a god who shows no mercy to innocent babies even once? How do we react today against, for example, IS or others who kill innocents, and sometimes even children? Yes, of course we condemn them for their barbaric actions. But the god who without hesitation carried out a mass murder of everything that lived on earth should we worship and praise as our loving Father of all?>> <<@michaelatkin9649 says : Oxytocin is released in the mother after birth and when then father starts interacting with the child.
