I think maybe it was perfect timing because she was aging and maybe I got awhile longer with her. Wolfie (aussiedoodle) was so gentle with her and pretty much slept leaning against me while I watched her in my parents' bathroom. I was at my parents' house visiting when she got sick suddenly. We took her to the emergency vet and they said she was dehydrated. She was 11 even and I think her breeder was of the backyard type eventhough she had papers. Maltese have the same lifespan as pugs so 11 was good but I hoped for 12-13.
