The argument is always, "once saved always saved vs loosing". Scripture teaches we are absolutely secure IN Christ!! No where does it teach that we can "loose" it. So, the question is, can we leave it? Scripture is replete with 'warnings not to reject'. (Hebrews 6 & 10 and others). Just as Salvation is the finished work of God in Christ and our volition to believe and have faith, we work out our salvation "with fear and trembling" (why?), for it is God who works in you (Holy Spirit) to will and act (our volition) according to his good purpose. (Phil. 2:12-13). We do not loose our volition once we are saved and "nothing can separate us", except ourselves. Volition or 'me' is not listed in Roman 8:38-39. Dr. David does a great teaching on hell and how and why people are there. People choose hell by rejecting the finished work of Christ. It is IMPOSSIBLE for those who have once been enlightened, who HAVE tasted the heavenly gift (Salvation), who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away (leave), to be brought back to repentance..." Heb. 6:4-6 One would have to do some serious semantic gymnastics to make this message anything other than what it is! (And some do!) No! You cannot loose your salvation, but you have to ability to leave it because we don't loose our volition upon salvation. As far as the "sealed", that is, IN CHRIST! It is our position, if we continue in him... So, I leave you with Romans 13:8-14.

You can lose eternal life by not believing anymore. You can stop believing by being cut off from not continuing in God's goodness: Romans 11:19-22 NKJV You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in." [20] Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. [21] For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. Also, you have to consider the fact that the bible says that there is a battle between the flesh and the spirit and that we are a new creature. When a person gets saved the new creature is who we truly are, and it remains loyal to God despite what our flesh does since the new creature is our immortal soul and spirit merged as one and the flesh is outside of that union. When the rapture of the Church happens our flesh is going to be transformed into a glorified body that will be one with our immortal soul and spirit.

Frank Tureck didn't answer whether God no longer gives us the choice to reject Him once we are genuinely saved, nor does he even entertain any notion that anyone truly saved would ever walk away from Jesus. The argument commonly given for why their is choice, is because if you don't have choice, you're kinda like a robot, kinda like determinism. Believing in once saved always saved is a form of determinism once you are truly saved, and is wrong. The Bible doesn't mention apostates and "son of perdition" for no reason. Though Arminians have errors, they have a valid claim against once saved always saved

Rather than appealing to carefully selected âproof textsâ (committing the error of special pleading) to support your Autonomian commitments, I instead urge you (in fact, I appeal to you) to study the sovereign work of God in Scripture - that bit between Gen 1:1 and Rev 22:21 - only then you will see that GOD IS GOD OVER ALL (Eph 4:6), which INCLUDES THE WILL OF MAN! TRUE FREEDOM DOES NOT REST IN THE âWILLâ OF MAN, BUT IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE (Gal 5:1)! All that youâre doing, is giving your adherents a false hope and setting them up to one day hear those dreaded words from Jesus⌠âGet away from me you evildoer, I NEVER KNEW YOUâ (as one of my own) (Mat 7:21), only because they were never brought into the kingdom of God BY GOD WHO SAVES (Psm 68:20) through the efficacious work of the Spirit (Jhn 6:44 & Rom 9:19) - instead, they are being (mis)led by the âwillâ which operates under the aegis of the god of this age (1Jhn 5:19)! I still haven't heard a response to "what if you change your mind later?" How can you not lose salvation? If you accept it as a gift, then lose your faith later and reject that salvation is even a thing let alone accept it, and if you reject sin is even a concept and just stop thinking at all about any of this stuff, how exactly would you still be saved at that point? And saying "if you would do that you may not have had true faith before and weren't really saved" is a pretty lazy sounding dodge of an answer. This seems like its just a silly word game for the sake of having BS arguments between protestants and catholics. Catholics would describe that as losing your salvation, a chronological description. Some protestants would say you were never saved to begin with, which then creates the doubt of salvation. Catholics do works as a way of growing and ensuring they don't lose salvation. Protestants do works as a way of growing, and ensuring their salvation was actually real. How long can you people really go back and forth arguing this semantic game? I'm new to this as a semi convert. I participate in the catholic church and certainly lean that way for many reasons, but this is one of those debates that I am too new and ignorant to see the real distinction or practical difference between the sides. Not theological difference, I mean practical difference. The actual, experienced difference.

I like Franks video and agree with him on many things, but this one he did not get right. Frank (if you ever read this) even married people can and sometime unfortunately do continue to date, marriage does suppose fidelity but that only goes so far as the couple freely decide to respect that. Eternal life just means never ending to exist, for better or for worse, those in Hell also have eternal life just that it is for the worse, that by itself does not prove salvation cannot be lost. Not to mention the Bible is full of warnings about remaining steadfast in the faith (Colossians 1:23), then the parable of the greedy servant who did not forgave the debts of another servant after King forgave his and then the King (meaning God) revoked the forgiveness He had given him before. We all agree God predestines His elect (initial justification), however He also takes into account the free choice of them into His salvation plan, the ones that freely chose to remain faithful (go to Heaven) and those who freely chose to reject Him (go to Hell). Sometimes they say, well if X fells off, he was not really an elect, well but then no one has true assurance of their salvation even so called "elect" because they certainly can continue to sin even doing mortal sins, sealed in Holy Spirit does not mean loosing free will, God will not fail, but we certainly can and those who fail to abide with Him by committing grave sins will not be in Heaven examples are countless both in Bible and outside of it. Only sensible approach is we must freely chose to remain with Christ so that along with those other predestined to be saved we reach our goal. God wills no one sins, however we clearly see it still happens, so just because God wills something does not necessarily mean it will happen. The Bible warns Christians that they can "fall from grace" (Gal. 5:1-5), be "cut off" from salvation (Rom. 11:18-22), have their names removed from the Lamb's Book of Life (Rev. 22:19), by committing certain sins and not repenting of them (cf. Eph. 5: 3-5; 1Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:19, Rev. 21:6-8). Suggesting otherwise puts souls at risk. God Bless

This is an excellent and informative video. I do agree how people can't lose their salvation. I know many Christians who believe people can lose their salvation, and I know many Christians who believe people can't lose their salvation. Going to heaven isn't based on a person's belief about whether or not they can lose their salvation. Going to heaven is based on accepting Christ in your heart and really meaning it in your heart. Accepting Christ in your heart and really meaning it in your heart means you want to repent and turn away from living a lifestyle defined by sin, and you want Jesus in your heart to help you to live for the Lord. The main reason why a lot of Christians are against once saved always saved is because they think that once saved always saved teaches that once you accept Christ in your heart, you're free to live your life any way you want and still go to heaven, but once saved always saved doesn't teach that. When a person accepts Christ in their heart and really means it in their heart, they experience positive changes in their life such as God changing them, never living a lifestyle defined by sin anymore (they still sin at times, but they never live a lifestyle defined by sin), wanting to live for the Lord, wanting to serve the Lord, never walking away from the faith and abandoning the faith, persevering in the faith until the end, having the fruit of the spirit in their life, and not taking advantage of grace and forgiveness in regards to how they live their life. People who believe you can lose their salvation often use the argument about people who claim to be ex-Christians. I believe there's no such thing as an ex-Christian. 1 John 2:19 is a Bible verse that is strong evidence that shows how there's no such thing as an ex-Christian. When people claim to be ex-Christians, what they usually mean by that is they used to believe in God, they used to go to church every Sunday, they used to be a fan of the Christian religion, they used to believe the Bible is true, they used to believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, etc, but none of those things make someone a Christian. A Christian is someone that has accepted Christ in their heart and really meant it in their heart. When you accept Christ in your heart and really mean it in your heart, you're always going to be saved, you're never going to walk away and abandon the faith, you're never going to become an ex-Christian, etc. Some people think Judas was an ex-Christian. I believe that Judas never was a Christian. Judas was someone that used to go to church that stopped going to church and used to be a fan of the Christian religion that stopped being a fan of the Christian religion. Judas never accepted Christ in his heart and meant it in his heart. David did sin when he committed adultery. What David did was wrong. Adultery is a sin. David didn't lose his salvation when he committed adultery. David was punished when he committed adultery. David didn't lose his salvation since David accepted Christ in his heart and really meant it in his heart. When you accept Christ in your heart and really mean it in your heart, you still sin at times, but you never live a lifestyle defined by sin. David never lived a lifestyle defined by sin as a Christian since Christians don't live a lifestyle defined by sin. When David committed adultery, he wasn't living a lifestyle defined by sin. Keep up the great work with your videos. I wish you the best.

Hebrews 3 is talking to holy brethren and sharers of the heavenly calling, telling them to take heed lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the Living God. In John 15, Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches. Those that keep remaining in Him (continuous action verb) will bear much fruit, and those that do not keep remaining in Him are cast in the fire. In Colossians 1, He will present us holy and unblameable in His sight if we continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel. Peter describes righteous people that return to sin as dogs turning to their vomit, and washed pigs to their wallowing in the mire. Paul mentions he makes his body a slave so that after he has preached, he does not become disqualified (which is the same Greek word meaning reprobate in Romans 1). He that has the Son has life. He that does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12). This simple statement is what I go by. In Him is where we have eternal life, and it's our choice whether to be in Him or not. That's why there are warnings and ifs attached, because we can move away from Him, but it's because we choose to do so.

How can you believe such foolishness as Eternal Security and "NO Changees" based on single verses. The BIBLE is a Whole Unit of GOD speaking to us and In other places JESUS and Revelations say "there will be a Great Falling Away from the Faith" or JESUS said in the parable some seed falls in the good ground but others fall in the thorns and weeds and are choked out and others fall on rocky ground and the troubles or Mocking in Life causes them to Lose their Faith. They WERE SAVED but fell into the weeds or Rocks and they LOST their SALVATION. ALL THESE VERSES TELL US SALVATION IS ETERNAL FOR THOSE WHO 'FINISH THE RACE" but many will not and turn from JESUS and SALVATION to become Atheists and Evil Enemies of JESUS and GOD and Christians and I know some of them so to believe all are Eternally Sealed by the HOLY SPIRIT through the BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT ANYWHERE is nothing but Huberous and Foolishness.

@1:48 John 5 "You pass death into life. From that point on you have eternal life" ok, but.... Death from what? From sin! Until you pass mortifying your carnal mind& flesh you are a believer to be saved. Eternal life comes after death to self!

"Once saved always saved" is a trick by the devil to lure us into complacency. Revelations 2:10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victorâs crown. If you have to "be faithful, even to the point of death" what happens if you aren't? Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, âNo one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.â So what happens if you look back and walk away? 1 Timothy 4:The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. What happens if you stop believing? There are those who have left the faith and become practicing atheists. What happens if you live your life in denial of Christ and who He is? Matthew 10: 32 âWhoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. Read the Word for yourself. Do not take my word for it. 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Ezekiel 3 is also worth looking into. If the righteous forsake their righteous ways and sin, they shall die... Salvation is like one being accepted into a school. Your academic performance will ultimately show whether you remain in the school or get expelled... Why would God spew out lukewarm people???

This makes no sense since in marriage you can choose to leave the relationship. The same is true with Christianity.
