<<@BlackWolF_1374 says : My problem with all these boards is that, their ports make them very thick for building my own smartphone or pocket PC! It would be better if they removed the ports and replaced them with some kind of socket; this way, we could attach the desired ports as needed. They could put these sockets in the box of the board for easy attachment when required! This could improve the connectivity and modularity of these board as well.>> <<@aquilafasciata5781 says : Remember when the selling point of the Pi was the starting point of $35?>> <<@aviandragon1390 says : Sadly, things never returned to "normal.">> <<@MezcaleroNM9495 says : I just love your reviews. I do find it a shame that no manufacture tried to take their product to the next level to where people would flock to it. I am looking for a platform to build a (thick) open source and hardware around. The community needs the choice to work on and use a circuitboard that is cheaper and more secure than commercial mobile CRP (C-reactive protein😋) Meaning we also need crypto chips and LTE and 5G thingies too. But together we can make it. Personally, i want to help. From firmware to distro, to SPI and TPMs or something that can actually measure hashes without being able to be compromised.>> <<@Ieatcrumbs says : Manufacturer chilling and watching video: *Chris pulls out their single-board computer first* Manufacturer begins shaking profusely>> <<@flibustieros says : ASRock n100 based motherboards kill every sbc>> <<@lionwangsinovoip says : It's a very useful video,>> <<@JoopKomkommerShake says : Missing at the end a comparison table. I would like to see a video about the practicality of rooting the phone, installing a suitable ARM-based Linux distro on it, and turning such an old phone into, for example, the brain of a formerly-dumb smart TV or a palm-sized PC. In reading I have done so far, it seems one of the bigger problems is that phone boards have unique and custom hardware on them, making it difficult to have a generic Linux distro for a wide variety of Android phone boards. Something that doesn't seem as much of a problem on x86 and x86-64 motherboards.>> <<@sgkonfetti says : Upgrading the Raspberry Pi 4 to 16GB of RAM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtym0TAWNto>> <<@goodmarketingmorning7725 says : I love your videos and you do an excellent job of explaining these ARM computers. Im a ham radio operator so I've cobbled together a Raspberry Pi 4 b and a Zero/w then the bottom fell out of the market. I use my 4b for my portable field radio outfit, and my Zero w for my home outfit ( running Ham Clock strapped to an old monitor - that i bought at a thrift shop) its just so upsetting to me that scalpers essentially ruined the RPi market. So i have to find an alternative. My son wants me to try thin client , going to see if i can get one of those to do what my Raspberry Pi 4b does so well and efficient ( I run my field radio and computer on solar/LIfePo4) hopefully Raspberry Pi computers get back into the market.>> <<@WillThat says : I don't know if it's because of the supply chain issues or just because of the lack of Pis but the prices of all the alternatives are way more than the equivalent Pi. Most of these alternative boards are selling a53s for $30-60 when you could get a Pi 4 with an a72 for that price. The Banana Pi you had at the start of the video would be my choice if I had any use for an SBC. And I guess that's the thing with me. I love seeing all these SBC's but I cannot use Linux. I find it so very difficult to use especially because of the CLI. If they could make a Linux Distro that makes the CLI totally 100% optional for everything, then I would love to give Linux another try (especially Mint as that was the one I really thought was going to be my go to Linux,) but, until then, Linux is way of my learning scale. And so, until there is an SBC out there that can run Windows 10/11, or a Linux Distro with 100% optional CLI, then I can just very enjoy clever people like yourself and others using these marvellous pieces of hardware. Thank you Chris for you amazing channel.>> <<@brunospfc8511 says : Excelent video, thank's, as a Brazilian Developer i'm always looking at those boards on Aliexpress, but i cant...loose to much money testing, thanks !>> <<@saeyoonchung7873 says : Please do away with the early 00's graphics, visuals.
