That's even worse.>> <<@tracyfagan165 says : This is true, I have a friend who was misdiagnosed for lymes disease, was prescribed antidepressants and after realising the side effects he was getting from those drugs went off, studied medicine through the libraries for 8 years and pharmaceuticals, his regular doctor now get his info from him as doctors don't actually get real pharmaceutical training!! We all knew each other's faces. I did 12 studies in 2 years. People who reported serious side effects were told they can't do more studies. Those reporting mold side effects after the washout were told they can't do another study until we report the side effect is over. I dated a few pharmaceutical reps and they would tell me how they get paid and how the doctor gets paid if she could talk them into writing prescriptions for a certain medicine. The doctor actually gets bonuses from the pharmaceutical company based on how many prescriptions he writes for a particular medicine for the year. The sales rep also. Well I tried it and was not impressed so I insisted on a different drug. Well it turns out the other drug is very effective, hmmm could it be the doctor was educated by the drug companies? I am very happy with the new drug, it really works. He is a good doctor and since many people here never complain I bet there are a lot of other patients of his on the 'best drug' and not happy. Not only is it shared with a government body like the FDA but also with a private review board (IRB).
