Uhhhhh, no. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, energy could of lasted forever without being destroyed. A phone is a bad example because when we say it runs out of battery and is loosing energy, that energy isn't being destroyed, it's being transformed into heat and other sources that aren't electricity no more.
>>
<<@Psalm1828light

The key here is usable energy. We know energy can not be created or destroyed. Heat death is not less energy but no energy capable of work. I used this argument a few days ago and the guy I was discussing this with said that energy was eternal and infinite. He was placing energy in the position of God. Then claimed that I was saying that God was energy. He stopped talking after I pointed this out.

Scientists do not "admit" that, they posited that from current understanding. This argument is ridiculous. Who said that the universe is eternal. The universe we live in and the laws that govern it may not be eternal, but maybe what gave rise to it is. Who knows? Somehow he just knows that his Dog is eternal though, because reasons.

Please provide evidence that the universe we live in was a closed system at the time of the big bang. Also, you are implying an argument from ignorance for a god. We dont know everything, but that doesnt mean there is a god. How our current universe started is independent of a god existing. You need to show a god exists first. You havent done that yet.

Even if evolution was comprehensively scientifically disproved today, that still wouldn't mean that God slides in as the default explanation. You've gotta demonstrate that a god exists before you can attribute explanatory power to it. "What else could be the cause" is an argument from ignorance.

Of course the universe had a beginning. We can actually see it using advanced telescopes. That's how we know the Big Bang happened, and it's how we know the universe is still expanding. It's also how we know that the universe is about 13.8 billion years old. However, just because we don't know exactly what caused the Big Bang, or what was before the Big Bang, that isn't proof of a God. To claim otherwise is a fallacy known as an argument from ignorance. The argument displayed in this video is also a flawed methodology. He is starting with a conclusion, and trying to find evidence to support that conclusion. That is not how reliable testing or science works, because you dismiss all other evidence that proves your conclusion wrong. Just as he is doing here. In fact, this is another fallacy called the sharpshooter fallacy. It's like firing an arrow first then drawing a bullseye around the arrow.
