Why don't these scholars reference the historical documents of the Sumerians, Egypt, et al. They are literally making up stories to fill the 'lack of knowing', or ignorance, of the world prior to biblical times. The meaning of the bible can be made (more) clear by this deeper historical understanding from the many ancient civilizations.

Get rid of the classical music in the background. Too many, old white men and classical music are not going to reach the audience you need to reach.

Am I the only one taken aback at the almost mechanical level of uniformity and symmetry of these nearly 2000yr old, HAND-WRITTEN, texts?! I'm an artist myself and I've spent a good bit of time practicing calligraphy throughout my life; achieving this level of consistent uniformity, by hand, would take a lifetime! I'm so blown away by this!? I genuinely had no idea these texts had been written with such an acute attention to detail.

I see the Father of the prodigal son parable manifested in the many sharing - the Lovingkindness of God draws all human unto Him. Angels celebrate in the heavens, the brethren celebrates on earth and welcome with great joy our fellow brothers and sisters who have 'come home'. God be praised. Thanks Mr Peterson for the faithful sharing that inspire so many!

Start at the very beginning Creation The view of light and darkness as physical entities that cause day and night can be found in at least one ANE text as well. In a fragmentary Sumerian tablet (NBC 11108) from Nippur during the Ur III period (21st cent. BCE), we find the following: When Anu, the lord, made heaven shine, made earth dark⦠Heaven and earth he held together as one⦠Day did not shine; in night, heaven stretched forth. Earth, bringing forth plant life did not glow on its own⦠The text describes the Sumerian high god Anuās creation of the world. When Anu separates heaven and earth, the heavens shine but the earth does not. In other words, when the heavens and earth were combined in the primordial mush, there was perpetual night. By separating the heavens from the earth, Anu also separates light from darkness.Wayne Horowitz notes the parallel with Genesis: In NBC 11108:8, as in Genesis, where day exists before the creation of the sun, moon, and stars, the heavens are conceived to have had their own glow, irrespective of the presence of luminaries. LOL

Hearing, understanding, and believing the gospel of Jesus Christ is what regenerates you into becoming a Christian. The word itself means to be a follower of Christ. It is only through faith in the salvation from the curse of sin that is given by God the Father through the son's sacrifice that we receive redemption. There is only ONE WAY to be in right standing before God and that's through faith alone in Christ alone. I would like to hear Dr. Peterson's thoughts on the exclusivity of the gospel of Christ and why he thinks its truth has converted so many non believers and people from other religions over the centuries. Be blessed.

Then there was Islam, they welcome anyone to Mosque despite your social status. I learned Islam and i am now have converted to Islam. Everytime i go to Mosque now, they never ask for 10% of my income to be invited. I pray without worry that if i were to not get invited anymore if i unfortunately going poor again.
