I sail a small 26' sailboat alone, so the size isn't a problem even on extended trips. When i see a few people going into the marina in a 50-60-70' boat they often can't dock it without: A) Help from strangers on the dock (of cause i'll help, but you can't rely on people being there) B) Often hitting the dock C) Taking forever to dock D) Getting exhausted because they don't have the physique to handle the massive vessel's mooring lines IMHO it's a sign of bad seamanship and judgement when people with money go out and buy a massive yacht – especially when they're just 2-3 people on board. There's absolutely no need for such a big vessel. Another observation is that it's almost always the wife doing the manual labor while the (usually quite obese) husband is at the helm yelling instructions and/ or insults at the wife. I'm gonna get a slightly bigger boat some day.
