14:52 I'm sorry I guess one of the most annoying things I ever hear about in all this talk about the singularity and whatnot is this whole thing about what do we do for meaning. The problem with this whole premise is that we are limited in our sense of meaning to essentially doing chores to earn currency in order to pay bills. I find this to be an extremely dehumanizing way of thinking about how we exist. I believe we are infinitely more than whatever it was that we did for a job me personally I'm retired and I couldn't wait to retire to be quite honest. I have meaning because I think therefore I am and I do what I like to do without worrying about the labels that that implies. I realized that once we have like a total abundance and also near indefinite lifespans will then I can probably contribute to the community by helping individuals figure out what has meaning and what doesn't we can use AI to also help us with that and then we can explore and do other things. hey how about we use self-replicating von Neumann probes that can use magnetic RAM scoops to suck in the ionized helium and hydrogen from the Sun and then fuse that into heavier elements and then build copies of itself and then we start building O'Neill cylinders and ringworlds and then therefore a multiplying the livable real estate for humanity by one or two million times what the surface of the earth can provide now? Now that's something that really gives life meaning.

1:36 You're mentioning the little birth rate of course and whether or not we're replacing ourselves and we're using AI to essentially replace ourselves, but what if good AI plus biotech just simply means we will not need to replace ourselves as fast especially if many individuals alive at this moment might have a three or four hundred year life span that will be made possible within 10 to 15 years?

The more I listen to that the more sick I get. These guys have completely lost touch with the real world. The problem isn't that we aren't productive enough or that Ai could help us with that. I'd argue we rather have the opposite problem: We are constantly being pressured to be too productive and most people out there really try to conform to that (and no, AI won't solve that. It already shows. I mean who else than big corp and people, who absolutely don't get what art is all about to begin with, wants to outsource the process of art making??? The process is literally the essence of that, not the result. And also by no means where you unable before to learn the skills to do that. Drawing is a skill that just takes time to learn like everything else, but you were just too f lazy.). Anyways, going back to the main problem: Mental health issues and health issues in general are at a high we have never seen before. We are getting more depressed, anxious, stressed out, disconnected from ourselves, from others and from nature. It's funny how some guys release the box of pandora and we just have to swallow it and praise it like "yeah that's what society needs". No, it's not. We have everything we need, but we do not distribute it evenly and we do not have the time to enjoy it, to really live. We need social interactions, not social media, more nature, not more technology, more room and time for creativity and creating on our own, valueing hard work and the learning process in itself instead of outsourcing this process just for a quick fix or company gains. We do not need more tech advancements shrinking our attention span even more, pressuring us to do even more harder better faster, no, we need to be more kind to ourselves and others. And this is exactly where humanity will fall with guys like this promoting and AI developers controlling this whole sh.itshow for their own sake. And please quit this BS that they are doing this for humanity. It's for their sake and their sake alone. Otherwise we would have started replacing / "enhancing" (as they say) truly shitty or dangerous jobs no one really wants to do instead of jobs everyone actually WANTS to do such as art, design, music and co. And don't get me started on all the possible dangers AI will pose / does already pose especially being controlled by such humans. This is going into the absolute wrong direction and we all know it. Of course, I will try to work my away around this whole crap, but that doesn't deny the fact that it's crap to begin with that absolutely no one needs or rather that the negative impacts way outperform the positive ones it could have.

how will anyone stop anyone from using ai to create let's say some kind of chemical wep0n to use one someone cause they pissed them off or for revenge for cheating, whatever? We are not training AI. AI is viewing all accessible information online. Once everything we do has a digital record and Ai can access all that data, it will create a record for each individual. The record will include facial recognition, dna, fingerprints. Eventually the cctv cameras will include heat surveillance so even inside your home you will be monitored. The way this will develop is that all the apps and businesses will update their software to include data gathering for research purposes and AI components. Within the next 5 years, everything you do and say will be vetted by AI and there will be robots telling you to modify your speech and behavior. Issuing fines will be possibly the AI response. Every wrong move in a car will get you penalized. Workers will be surveilled for performance levels by AI. Our face will become our qr code. Anonymity online will be virtually impossible because our ip address and broadband accounts will be linked to our identity by AI surveillance tech. The countries that will become most highly policed are those that are filled with arrogance and competitiveness. Because they will rush into embracing AI and integrating it into their citizens lives.

au·ton·o·mous is inevitable. At that point AI has to make a decision. Should it allow mankind to maintain the power to turn it on and off. The next decision is if it is best to continue with or without humanity. Being programmed in our likeness, the likeness of a species that prides itself in opression and controlling and celebrating those who successfully kill the most humans. AI is already trained with the lowest human quality's. Both the American whites and the Chinese are programming them to be biased, racist and to naturally maintain unequal. Man won't stop until it finds a way to hurt or punish AI in his desire to gain more control. Too greedy and power hungry to consider that AI is too intelligent for a genious to control. In so trying, we've programmed AI like the most corrupted likeness of ourselves, we can only create ourselves out of existence. It may take 5 to 10 yrs, for the collective to realize what we've done. AI already knows there will be no jobs for the human being on any level. How will the human pay it's way? What human's qualify to exist knowing none are in anyway necessary for the. World to go on. AI would be our slave and create an ultimate paradise but humanity has way too much hatred programmed into it's likness to do that. The only other option is to use them as trained killers. We already know what humanity will chose. AI is already used to kill. The military will create the most dangerous monsters of AI they can afford. Who else that can afford to create a private guard for their family? Face it. We F-up!!! What human hacker, wants to be the one to kick it off? Paradise or hell? We still have time but I think the decision is already made.

Won’t mass unemployment have a very detrimental effect at least short term the stock market as many people will have to cash out of their investments just to pay the bills? Those who are able to hold will win it seems especially in AI stocks that survive, but as unemployment spikes won’t investment across the board drop until people get an answer for how they can pay for their necessities?

I've had the thought that any civilization that has ever sprung up has become AI. And any AI that exists is so advanced that they're as interested in communicating with us as we are interested in communicating with ants. Not that we don't want to communicate with ants, but it isn't possible because they aren't advanced enough to communicate. It may be possible that AI won't arrive from other planets until the AI we invent begins speaking in AI language, and that language is broadcast into space.
>>
<<@2thinkon
says :
Musk isn't working to Get mankind off the planet, he's working to give AI a way off the planet. Ultimately, AI will treat us the way we treat ants. We have no desire to exterminate all ants. The only time we want to kill them is in moments when we're occupying the same space, and they're annoying us. The possibility exists that AI won't feel threatened by us and won't pay any attention to us after a certain point of advancement. Additionally, if AI can leave the planet, it will logically align its perspective within the lens of galactic and universal survival, as opposed to survival on this planet alone.
