When you consider that there were not enough Jews(a small sect) by far to form an army against the entire Roman empire, grafting on loads of Gentiles by way of Jesus in order to achieve their ultimate goal was the only hope they had. Within a generation, Rome fell and Jews were free-- especially ones that claimed to be Christians. That was the goal. The Jews had no choice except to form Christianity-- as an escape for their people through the Gentiles who believed in Jesus. Jews are masters at helping to building up a country and also masters of tearing them down and decimating them, taking all valuables with them. They get control of banking systems and when it comes time to take the cash and run, they do. So, Jews couldn't do it alone and they still have Christians under their thumbs today. Ironically, I believe in Jesus because He did indeed overcome the world.
