To gather peoples of all tribes, all tongues, all nations, all ethnicities, all races; And bring them into His home as His adopted children, anoint them as priests in His holy temple, and heal and reconcile them as true brothers and sisters in the home and kingdom of the Lord God. Wise as serpents, but innocent as doves. With the wisdom of age and maturity, but the heart of faith like that of a child. With no more love of sin, No more walls of hostility, no more hidden motives, and no more disunity. All brought together in a unified love for the One who loved us, and gladly willing to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters even if they are called "strangers" in this world. An overarching love for Him that stretches beyond cultural boundaries, nationality, or creeds, but does not abolish the make up of one's character but instead presents each individual as a part of the totality of the glory of Jesus in them and in all those who are in Him. There is no God that is greater, and there is no God but Him who is for all mankind. One needs only to trust. Trust Jesus, and enter into the family. Leave the rest at the door and come join His kids at His holy table. We've got the best bread and wine, it's Jesus 😁>> <<@SkyAvila777 says : People get it twisted. [11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; [12] Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Verse 12 makes it clear that there is a separation, talking to the Jews to live a Godly example I USED TO LIED TO MYSELF AND IGNORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE BIBLE AS IF THEY WERE TRUTH BECAUSE OF THE CLERGY BEING TRICK TO LIE TO THEMSELVES AND THEIR CONGRECATIONS. Be honest what is the text saying and to who is it address? Exodus 19 [5] Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: [6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. -- The elect are the children of Israel. Look at Eph. 1:4 and 2 Thess. 2:13 they were set aside and we became the chosen under different terms. Romans 16:25 Read it again. Mose was speaking to the children of Israel, not the BOC. Same as Peter in Peter 1:9 So the church is confused. Mostly has to do with following the early churches leaders who were heretics. Look at what they believed. It was not what Paul taught. Paul had to deal with heresies while he was still alive. How heart breaking it had to be for him. He won over many in Asia only to have them go to legalism later, perverting his message of salvation is a free gift, we are not under the same rules as what Moses gave the Jews per God.>> <<@cyberjace76 says : It's a spiritual kingdom not to be confused with flesh or earthly kingdoms. This is because at the time the King James Version was translated, the word peculiar was often used to refer to something belonging to someone, as in someone’s property. If we look up the word peculiar in a dictionary today we would still see that is one of several meanings this word can have. Probably the most common usage of the word peculiar today is referring to someone or something that is strange, odd, or uncommon. Yet alternative meanings in the dictionary still tell us that this word can be used to describe something or someone that “belongs exclusively to some person, group, or thing” or to refer to “a property or privilege belonging exclusively or characteristically to a person.” The original meaning of the Greek words translated “peculiar” in 1 Peter 2:9 is indeed what is meant in this passage. In this verse, Peter is not saying that Christians are odd or unusual people, even though the world often looks at us that way. What this passage is communicating is that Christians or believers are people who belong to God, they are His own possession. Another way of saying it is that believers are “God’s own special people.” As we compare the different English translations of this verse and consider the alternative meaning of the word peculiar, it becomes clear that peculiar in this verse is referring to the fact that believers are a “special people” because they were chosen from before the foundation of the earth to be “God’s own possession.” Those who are born again are different from the world around them because they are being transformed by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Also they are different because, having been born again by the Spirit of God, baptized, and believing in Christ for salvation, they have received “the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). While it is true that believers are different, it is the believers’ standing as the adopted children of God, joint heirs with Christ Jesus, and God’s own special people that make us “peculiar.”>> <<@alf72632 says : what a bull of crap.>> <<@burningheartsministriesmis1488 says : ❤AMEN ❤>>
