This Spartan died on the mission when chief was on covenants ship first time.. BTW we should appreciate samuael 's sacrifice because he saved chief and got hit himself which caused his suit to damage unabling him to travel in the outer space. You can get the info from Halo: The fall of reach movie or through the novel or comic series with the same name. Man I can't think halo franchise without our legendary Spartan 117 which was given a new chance by Spartan 034.
