The Bible is not the “ultimate standard for Faith and practice.” Is there any book in the Bible on how to do a Christian worship service? No. Did Christ write any of the Bible books? No; we only have one NT example of Him writing in the sand; and He covers it up. Who canonized the Bible and declared it to be Scripture? Why are the four Gospels Scripture, but not the Gnostic “gospels”? The answer is “The Church.” It was the bishops of the Church who agreed upon which books to canonize. The Church is the repository for all holy tradition on how to conduct a service; how to ordain; how to interpret. This is how the early Church was. Sola Scriptura wasn’t a belief held by the Church, and ironically isn’t found in the Bible. So the starting premise is incorrect.>>
