I Do agree Some Definite RULEs need to be in place to Slow Down Pre-Pubescent and Teenagers that Identify feeling different or the Opposite to their Biological Birth Gender and starting HRT too early and definitely any Surgical Procedures. They do need to give it time to work through their feelings of Dysphoria and all the consequences and ramifications of Transitioning. Spend a few yrs maybe many until you can do your Homework, self reflect, meditate, talk to others goto support groups study up widely first. However, after listening to this discussion in its entirety, I cant help but notice it being Highly biased against those experiencing Gender Dysphoria and heavily supporting the Parental feelings. This doesn't take away from the Facts though that Transgenderism is a thing and occurs. FACT It is a small fraction of transitioning TGs that do revert, they were probably Gender confused rather than genuinely TG and got on the racing train and didn't look back or within enough. Here in Australia, there are many Gateways that slow the process down and gives a gender Dysphoric time to reflect and are heavily questioned in all the right ways. FACT No one is being LED to believe HRT is some miracle cure. No one is being LED to believe in all the proposed within this discussion of a great Euphoria after Transition. However in my experience and many others I know of its better than what was experienced prior for those that are genuinely TG and it has bought comfort inside and outside re Physical presentation. FACT Sexual function is not totally lost with the quality of Surgical procedures performed today. Some loss of sensation is there however this varies amongst those that go through GRS and Breast Augmentation. We don't do it primarily for sexual satisfaction rather to remove or change something we are not comfortable with. FACT John Money was cruel in and WRONG to do what he did with the Twin and may have forwarded some Transgender ideology, but he really had nothing to do with the MANY TGs before his time and nothing to do with many TGs being LED astray as portrayed in the discussion throughout his pre-history and I'm sure must have been since Humanity has existed it stands to reason. Watch the loosely told true story "The Danish Girl" movie which happened back in the 1930's. Probably one of the best movies I've seen which closely resembles the experiences and feelings of a TG. A good one for those struggling Parents to give some idea and insight of what we go through. Although I wouldn't recommend her GRS experience. FACT There are many TGs pre the internet or any publications as mentioned above that experienced Gender Dysphoria, transitioned and could not have been LED astray by social media or the Medical system. You don't wake up some day and decide oh lets become the opposite gender. Thats Ludicrous to think that. I'd never read anything of medical journals or saw anything relating to Transgenderism till I was well on my way to understanding my Dysphoria pre all the current modern age of the Internet. All this has come along since for me and many others. How do you account for that. .......................................... FACT It's sad that many Parents and Families of gender Dysphoric or the Gender Confused persons as outlined in the discussion go through Traumatic experiences. I truly felt for my Mother and did everything to try and help her relate but sadly couldn't get through to her Victorian conditioning. Sadly having been given an ultimatum of Rejection if I went through any change in my presentation had to move on. However you don't have to lose the person and their Love they just change and grow. yes i understand you lose the Son or the Daughter but They will be there if can only try support them as many parents with Open minds do. It doesn't have to be a traumatic experience or an embarrassment as described. I know of many who have had lovely experiences between Mother and father and Child. How many of those were presented above in the discussion. It was not well rounded and highly biased towards the Traumatic and Dramatically expressed so. Love is stronger than pride. Don't be too proud just open up and be Vulnerable and I believe your Child will be to you. If you truly Love your Children you Stand by them no matter what. As I would have stood by my Mother in support if she just could have let me. ............................................................................................................................................................................... .........FACT: A TG's Transition has its many loses and its many positives. You could lose your Mother and Fathers support and Love. I Hope and Wish you don't. Don't give up and listen to your Parents if your a younger gender Dysphoric. Take your time to analysis your self thoroughly before going through anything re changing. Def don't be LED astray by any Media personality or peer if they suggest you must transition pre puberty to Have a better outcome its simply not necessary. There is plenty of time DONT RUSH. You may find like many amongst the thread here that you are glad you changed your mind. You may find surrogate Parents or Parental Role models. I did. You will lose Friends but you will find new ones. You will struggle in the workplace during transition and be discriminated against endlessly during transition it takes a strong minded individual to get through it you will need friends who support you at least one V Good one. ........ ............ ... ... THEORY or FACT you Decide: I believe LIFE is a Mystery and Experience. One of Learning, Loving and living. Its about Growing and becoming a kinder more Caring Compassionate Person. Helping others as much as you can in every way that you can withing your ability. It wont always work out the way you want and sometimes its Painful, Hurtful uncaring and Troubling, this also has its Positives if you look for them. Where there is a negative there is a positive . Where there is a Positive there is a negative. The Universe or source or whatever you call it has your back and wants you to grow and will throw curve balls at you if don't work at Changing for the better. Ultimately, I Believe this is a Spiritual Journey Living within the confines of a Human Shell. BE-ING HUMAN BE-ING. I believe we've lived many Lifetimes ones which we are shut off from or else it would interfere with this one. And Just Maybe being TG is just one LIFE Experience where you get to Grow Exponentially as i have so far in my Many decades and I am still Learning, Loving and Living and so it goes on. .............................................................................................I am Content in my growth and my Life Experience so far except Losing my Elderly Mother who I dearly cared for. .............................................. Afraid to reveal their feeling in case they are REJECTED. They have to fit into a black and white world so of course they will Identify as Black or white when really they are Purple or Green. My Understanding is its a third Gender being [ Transgendered Woman or Male ] somewhere along the colored spectrum not meeting the norm of either fully Male or Fully Female. There is so much more to this and you'd have to be very close to a TG to even come close to relating. I have had that experience. Thats right,...Guisseppe, SUCKED A DICK!! Soooo, long story short, after Guisseppe was caught sucking somebody's dick, EVERYBODY COMPLETELY FORGOT about ALL of those magnificent bridges that Guisseppe had built. And he was no longer recognized or known for being the greatest bridge builder in the entire world again after that either. No sir. Now dont get me wrong here, Guisseppe was still recognized everywhere he went, just not as a world famous bridge builder anymore. In fact, his name wasnt no longer associated with anything that remotely even involved being a builder of bridges after that. Instead however, and still to this day, everyone just knows Guisseppe as being a COCKSUCKER!!! His father travelled a lot due to his job and was absent from home. His mother got lonely and would take him to the movies with her, as if this little boy of 5 were her "companion" or "friend". They would be romantic films and she'd gush over the male actor in the film. She'd make inappropriate comments to her son about dreaming of being "carried away by the actor because he was so handsome and strong". After a couple of these films, he began to behave like his mother and have the same fantasies about being carried away by the strong handsome hero of the film. To me, that was child abuse. Isn't it obvious? He grew up thinking he preferred men and then, while he still had no father at home, he had his first "time" with an adult male; very likely targetted because his father wasn't around, he was groomed. It's obvious he also immitated his mother, became overly effeminate. Often, this is an exaggerated mimicking of the way a woman speaks or her mannerisms. He was such a mixed up man, he didn't recognize he was actually "conditioned".
