There are immensely important reasons that the Lord has deposited Holy Spirit inside of our hearts to be with us because he truly is the Divine Assistance, the third person of the godhead, the helper and the comforter! I implore you if you have not accepted the finish work of Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, THE GIFT of redemption in your life PLEASE ask Him to come into your heart and love you as His son/daughter, we are in the last of the last days. The Lord lays before you a choice to choose. the everlasting life or Everlasting death and he tells you to CHOOSE LIFE. Every good gift is that you have in your life is from God. When Pilate told Jesus "Why won't you answer don't you realize I have the power for you to live or die?" and Jesus looked at him and said "You would not have this power if it was not given to you from above." Therefore, when old testament verses speak on the Messiah freeing the captives and giving liberty to the oppressed, the new testament take away is that this is a spiritual oppression which is fulfilled when Jesus heals the sick and casts out demons.
