They could've made Dagan a new Sith lord and Tannalor be his fortress in the next game. Raising an army of fallen Jedi. A Sith Empire much like Revans in the outter rim unknown to the galaxy. Imagine the Empire, Rebellion and Dagans Empire all fighting each other in the third game. And it would've had no affect on the current canon or universe.
