I ve tryed all sort of things... even removing tpm requirements in registry during install, but that crashes the installation to another bosd, becoz of installer detected tempering with it ... probably wouldnt work anyway... Also one of the reasons is the Popcnt ,which i have no idea what is it ...probably even if i got hands on oldest win 11 installer i could make it work, but still the popcnt would make the bosd screen after 5 minutes succesfullty runing desktop, and enabling bosd details showing popcnt or other awkward dll problem ...>> <<@SLAMMINSAMMYYY says : Wow this actually works on my dell optiplex 3010 mini tower I couldn’t find any other way besides this video thank you so much>> <<@gerdfreising1909 says : 10to11 is the old sixseven>> <<@harshsingh3635 says : this method is useful for 2025 now for less then 8th gen cpu or 8th gen after to install original windows 11 install and updates>> <<@Jeffmartin-dt8pc says : This was a disaster, yes, I installed Windows 11, but the card reader will not work and any driver that I've tried, Windows has blocked it (code 48). I even went back to Windows 10, and it was working before with the upgrade from Windows 8 to 10, now it's not with the same error message. I've tried re-installing Windows 8, and it won't let me, it can't find the drive because Windows 10 is installed on it. I think I will have to remove the drive and format the whole thing through USB on another computer to literally start from scratch just to get the card reader work when I go back to Windows 8. What a mess ! It's an Alienware machine from 2014, so it should have TPM 1.2, but it doesn't, however there is a new BIOS version, but I can't install that until I get a new battery as the installer insists that there be at least 10% left in the battery. The battery is so old it won't take a charge. I don't even know if the new BIOS includes TPM 1.2, Dell doesn't say of course... I should have checked the BIOS earlier to see if the new one has TPM, because doing a clean install, didn't work where the card reader is concerned.>> <<@lesley2989 says : tried all the steps didnt work for my laptop>> <<@seanthomas-bouzas4306 says : Worked well thanks! I'd like to thank you for your help in this and other videos. You have a full grasp of the issues, and, you are able to clearly and concisely explain courses of action, so that everyone can understand. I had an unsupported SFF HP PC running Win 11 23h2, and it was not getting 24h2 or 25h2 through the Windows Update. I had tried various "unauthorised" methods of updating but none worked. I was, however, trying to do "in place" updates, but, as you point out, these will not work in this situation. So, I tried again, this time with the 25h2 ISO downloaded from MS, and with Rufus 4.11, and performing a "clean install" - and it worked. Everything is in order, getting lots of system updates in the usual way. Thanks very much, and I will be watching as many other videos of yours as I can, lots to learn!>> <<@Nick41622 says : Be warned, this is now dangerous and harmful content, according to YouTube.>> <<@daverich3352 says : Regarding unsupported CPUs, is there any specific reasons / functionality why older CPUs are not supported?.>> <<@Nick_R_ says : Is it better to upgrade from 10 to 11, or do a clean install?>> <<@ace-shqiptare says : to upgrade from windows 10 to 11 and keep my files and apps do i need the usb that have rufus installed or no. thank you for the video it helped me alot in my laptop now im just upgrading my main pc but i need to keep my files and apps>> <<@catloter says : it says error in windows instaler ios or somethink>> <<@Sebwix says : why doesnt it work for me, it says i need TPM 2.0 (i did the second version)>> <<@DiaboloCirque says : Thanks to your guide, I completed the last step of this update just in time. Great technical content, great presentation, great humor and great ethic. It was a challenging update for me. To prepare windows 11 installation, I had to convert an MBR disk partition to GPT and go down all the way to a GRUB screen to modify a parameter that would not show up in BIOS options to enable TPM 2.0 on my processor. Sure, enabling TPM 2.0 can be skipped, but I preferred to limit the amount of incompatibilities with stated requirements. Again, thank you !>> <<@toffer9613 says : "Well knock me down with a feather.">> <<@xansiclab says : I just watched this video a few hours ago, followed the regedit tweak and the install went smoothly on an unsupported windows 10 device! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰. CPU is Intel T8100, and over the time the only upgrades it has received were 4GB of RAM (max it can get) and SSD. Tried to install system on it: from original ISO, the one made with ChrisTitusTech utility and with Tiny11 made with tiny11builder script. I used E2B to boot them but also Rufus to write each ISO on pendrive. Overall the result was always the same: they all failed at the same point, which is initial boot of installer. It tries to load and you can even see that static blue W11 logo, but after minutes of so waiting, computer reboots without any message. Like I did not have any hopes of installing it there, I just wanted to try and see. Unless there's maybe some other method to do so, but the ones that I could find on the internet did not work. Just wanted to share this, if maybe someone else woudl like to try.>> <<@DrummingMan1 says : Nice thank you!>> <<@mikeeyram says : So I probably shouldn't use this method to install Windows 11 on a 14 year old PC?>> <<@KellyWhittaker-u8y says : I have followed the steps for a clean install (vs. update) All goes well up to the point of going into the boot menu and choosing the USB to boot from. It has been upgraded a fair bit too....SSD and 16gb RAM....but an 5th gen Core Intel which is not supported. Windows 10 is flawless on it and I don't want to give it up yet. "It it works, don't fix it" is good advice, imo....so I just want to leave it alone and let it go.
