The problem is that some African leaders still look to the USA, UK, EU, and the West for support as if they doubt themselves. They have to learn to be self-reliant and be vigilant with their actions. They need to put African nations first, as well as the continent and its countries first, when it comes to taking a stand. They need to remember that Africans have suffered for a long time, and now there's no time to play/waste, but to deliver. Time is against them. If they cannot catch-up then they should/must give way to those who can. They need to accept their weakness, failures and stand aside. If I'm not wrong, Russia former President Boris Yeltzin was the weakest leader who was also an alcoholic. During his tenor, US, EUROPE was happy and relieved. They loved him and even fought that he won the second term election. US sends a special team to surround and monitor him while helping out with his campaign. They even made a film of it. Afterwards, he continued to rule with the support from the West.maily US leading the pack. He ended up appointing Putin to come rescue Russia from going down. The reaction by the US, UK, Europe, and the West was never happy. It was a blow to them. The diliked Putin from then. They started enlarging NATO towards Russias borders from that time to date. So, African leaders should learn from this. If the West, US, like a leader, it means "he" dance to their tune.
