It is pretty much set in stone. It does in no way excuse not exercing and making healthier choices. If anything, it makes a much stronger case of greater weight to diet and exercise if you are so predisposed. You guys spoke to this in a round about way when you discussed NAFLD and visceral fat, but I believe it requires a lot more attention. To that end you and viewers can search You Tube Videos where Simon Hill(You Tube Channel The Proof) and Dr Gil Carvalho(Nutrition Made Simple) interview with Professor Roy Taylor, the world’s most reputable diabetologist and founding father and researcher into the concept of individual “personal fat threshold”>> <<@azdhan says : super interesting! I would like to be tested for visceral fat just to know. cheers>> <<@arlettasloan6453 says : Diverse plants can share the same proteins. Don't take my word for it, look it up! Cross-reactivity happens. I found that all the things I have high reactivity or absolute allergy too are cross-reactive with two different trees. One of which is the birch tree, which I was around a lot throughout my childhood and adult-life, including when they were burgeoning and I started to get sick when they were reddened in the springtime and I was too close to them. So, apparently, my body had a reaction to them, a lot and for a while, so that it started viewing all things with that same protein as a problem. Quite a long time ago, i found out my problem with doing leg exercises is that I developed an allergic reaction that sounds unreal, but it's way too real. If I exercised the front of my thighs, I would get dizzy, nauseous, blurry eyed, maybe even black out a bit. It's an allergy to wheat, tomato and/or shrimp. They all have a protein that causes that specific allergen and it is the same exact protein in all of them. And, I was a person who seldom ate shrimp, but I made a lot of really good, full of vegetables, spaghetti. I can't remember the name of the other tree right now. But, yeah... not the same plant families, not even all just plants, but there is a lot of cross-reactivity even with animals, fish, mold, and dust to plants eaten as food and/or which give out pollen. And, it can go any which way. You might be allergic to a grass, and it cause you to not be able to eat this land animal, this sea creature, and this small list of fruits, vegetables and nuts.>> <<@gmo709 says : You definitely dont want more visceral fat though. Different types of fat, right?>> <<@lindajones4849 says : Hi Tom: Dr Robert Lustigs lectures clarify some of yourconcerns . There are people who are overweight and metabolically healthy if you look at their blood panels.According to Dr. Lustig about 20 percent of the overweight/ obese population is metabolically healthy. BUT about 40 percent of the thin population are metabolically unhealthy and dont realize it. I thought also that obesity caused diabetes but Lustig says it a marker for diabetes NOT the cause. Diabetics in India and China are mostly normal weight. Lustig says that you can gain about 22 lbs of subcutaneous fat and stay metabolically healthy. Its the visceral fat and esp liver fat that is dangerous. Careful though , even being moderately o erweight increases the risk of multiple cancers.>> <<@LisaSpeaksTruth says : Dr. Li, Tom wasn’t throwing grenades, you had an intelligent, well-prepared interviewer asking deep and thoughtful questions for us all to gain clarity in this health and health care crisis. I have watched you both before and this interview was the first to make me a fan of you both. Clarity = understanding, not grenades. I have gained about 35lbs since my late twenties and I can tell you all of my blood work has been 💯 on point for years. There is still a deregulation within my body (weight gain) if I don’t consistently feed my body whole, clean foods and moderately to intensely exercise. That would be JUST to maintain my weight. If I stop, I derail. It’s only now through so much knowledge I am gaining that I need to dial it in with fasting, microbiome fixing and other tools that I can get down (and stay down) at a weight I am comfortable at! I've lost my trust towards this Valuable Dr, don't know why . Something odd he has done years ago,he knows it. He was on a reality show & eaten chicken while he was advising us a plant diet🤗 But since listening to Dave Asprey yesterday, to his latest Podcast with you then changed my mind & left plant diet. I've shrank after plant diet. Last two years after our valuable Dr Sinclair's book. Hope he finishes his experiences and tells us which diet is healthy for longevity. But I put on weight by plant diet. So back to my oldie but Goldi white meat protein & some clean veggies diet A little desert but will continue to prepare my desert from 1 packet of Silken tofu & 4 spoon of plant cacao walnut not pecan , Dr Gundry's lectins🙄 stopped me using them😅), 1 tsp protein powder from each kind as you like , more choco melt add in 🍨 may be a banana blend or some stevia or dates instead of sugar & some vegan choco chips on top . As you like A little water add up & blend . Voila🤷‍♀️ desert is ready. If you are alone make the half if the tofu but not sure how you gonna protect the rest of the unused tofu🤷‍♀️ Is silken Tofu is a clean product or full of chemicals? If any one knows the answer will appreciate . Thanks to Dr & Tom bilyeu. I'm in their grandma age👵 Like lewis Howes , Chuck & Tom are my fave interviewer's. God Bless🙏🌺>> <<@vitobarca640 says : What happens to the extra fat cells when you loose weight? Do they shrink or your body get rid of them?>> <<@shekatagani says : Injecting yourself with a drug to stop you from eating is sick! Unless you are so obese you need to reduce the food you eat to get to good health. If you do this just to loose weight It is a bad way!>> <<@MrPopo-bd1ix says : 1:38:00 The lectins are in the skin and seeds of the tomato, not the WHOLE tomato. Tomatoes in Italy are de-seeded and de-skinned. Misinterpretation of Dr. Gundry's explanation of lectins. Most lectins are in grain, even if you pressure cook them. But Dr. Li does have an interesting point because the french and europeans have been eating bread forever yet are thin and healthy.>> <<@ohthatshim says : Sumo wrestlers do die young. Lol>> <<@JREGreatestHits says : So far, this just seems like its going to be delusional fuel for people with lifelong weight issues, a reason not to keep going. I love the podcast overall but this episode seems like a very short message hidden in a lot of unnecessary words. I may be missing the point but all I seem to be hearing is "some fat is good for you" over and over again without giving me any real reasons to truly get behind it. We get having some fat on you is good, we always have, but this is going to be taken out of context by SO many people and likely cause more overall damage. I haven't really been convinced of anything yet and I'm still undecided on whether I'll finish part 2/the last hour.>> <<@sarahellen5846 says : FANTASTIC interview, Tom! Thank you for doing such a great job sifting through these claims and getting down to the actual science (or lack thereof) behind them. Did he include this "if you have too much fat it acts like cancer" discourse in his book? If not, it's a disservice to the readers.>> <<@greyhnd001 says : Oils are 100 percent fat.
