You gotta remember, Paul was writing to churches that are very Patriarchal structured. There’s a LONG history of women speaking and preaching in the scriptures and even Galatians 3:28 we see Paul write that in Christ, there’s no distinction between man and woman. The only interpretation that makes sense for Paul telling women to remain silent is the way the sermons were given. Men were closer to the speaker, tying back to the Patriarchal culture point, and women would often interrupt the sermon by asking questions about what was just said. The women were to ask questions of the husband afterward. Long story short, controversial scripture like this often requires context (looking at you Leviticus 25). I

Pauls opinions were his own, culturally of the time. He even attested to that regarding these topics, personally. That era was very misogynistic and patriarchal. Both Deborah and Esther were put in position above men in the Bible appointed by God. God said I have made man AND women IN MY IMAGE. Jesus Christ never quoted these words of Paul. Rather Christ esteemed women highly with regard and respect. I am sick to death of elitest sexist middle aged white men barking like old wind bags behind a pulpit about a "womans place". Men and women have EQUAL value in God, given God is SPIRIT and NIETHER male or female. And some women are NOT called to bear children or even marry. Some are called to follow God in ministry. Having children and making sandwiches for her husband is NOT all a woman is good for! If they remain single and bear no children they have JUST as much value in Gods eyes. This attitude in the church REEKS of insecurity. If men were secure in their masculinity they would have no 'urge' to bark about what "Paul said about women". Its done to death. It is condescending and arrogant and archaic. Follow Christs example, bottom line. And he revered and honoured women as EQUALS.
