Our fleshly desires for greed, feelings of superiority, lust, wrath welcomes the evil we see perpetually manifesting. We arent warring against flesh and blood but evil authorities in high places (paraphrasing Ephesians 6:12). Some of those evil powers exist on this land. I am forever living to be a representative for Christ. Nothing more. I love the first verse you quoted.
