Bad news is the embellished martyrdom stories come from fantastical 2nd-3rd century+ sources, like the apocryphal Acts. There are historically credible 1st century statements about Peter's death (1 Clement 5:4, John 21:18), Paul's death (1 Clement 5:5-6), James the Son of Zebedee's death (Acts 12:2) and James the brother of Jesus's death (Josephus AJ 20.9.1). HOWEVER, they are just passing references and nothing like the more entertaining fictional martyrdoms. Frank Turek should know better because Sean McDowell told him how flimsy this argument is during his interview. Mike Licona should know better because he is a Bible professor. Turek and Licona are LYING to you, and they know they are lying to you.

As we belive he will descend in second coming flanked on the angle and will inshallah killed anti Christ dajjal.

Atheism has no evidence by itself. What it does is rejecting other beliefs’ evidence. But rejecting other point of views does not make yours true. What makes it true ? It’s not the absence of evidence of others beliefs. What if one day you find one religion that explains everything ? Will you drop your atheism and adopt that religion ? Is then your atheism only based on lack of reliable (according to you) evidence? Then it has no evidence by itself. If we were solving a crime scene, you still wouldn’t know who the murderer is. You have no theory. You are no detective. You didn’t solve the mystery. All you did is discharge other detectives’ theories. All you say is “I don’t believe anything”. How life came to be? Whats your view on abiogenesis? What’s your view of intelligence arising from un-intelligence? What’s your view of irreducible complexity? What are your answers atheist friend? And on what evidence are they based on? Because all you’ve told me right now is what you don’t believe in. What do you believe in? I don’t care if you don’t believe in my evidence but at least I have something to justify by belief. What do you have. Atheism is empty. It doesn’t give you anything. It doesn’t explain anything. It’s only full of excuses and lack of belief. It doesn’t solve anything. It does so it can’t be attacked by anyone. You say the burden of proof is always on the other beliefs. Not true. What’s your burden of proof, atheist. The body is still dead and the killer is still running around free and you have no idea who that is.

I posted twice a this comment and it was deleted. 🤷♀️ A Christian martyr doesn’t kill (himself or others) to get to heaven. A Christian goes to heaven by believing in the sacrifice of Christ. For this belief someone else kills him. A Muslim martyr has to kill infidels to automatically go to heaven. There’s no assurance of going to heaven otherwise. It’s a big difference!

Jesus didn't clame he was God. Jesus went to the desert to be tempted, and the devil proposition was to give him the world. So why would satan give the world to the one who created it all and know the serpent will be smashed? Also God can't be tempted. Plus, jesus prayed to God. None of that makes sens. What makes sens is jesus is the son the first born. He had a begining. God has no begining. So the problem is some bible verses sometimes confusing or even maipulated or lacking the right ponctuation, or we sometimes lack the real context

Definitely a valid point. I think there were a few very early muslim martyrs.. But I suppose it would be difficult for them to ensure that what they believed was true, since Mohammad's main miracle WAS the Qu'ran. Definitely a good point though. I wouldn't consider myself a Christian but I never thought about it in the sense that There are people who claimed to be eyewitnesses of supernatural events who were willing to die for such claims. Which is definitely something!

The truth is all religion is of Satan, the Catholic Church being the mother of them all, including Islam, religion is used to take you away from the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit dwells in us all, it’s your responsibility to seek him with all your, heart, mind and soul, the first and the greatest commandment. You are the Temple, the altar is your mind, and this is where you worship in spirit, this is this who worship therein, like Revelation 11:1 tells you, these are the ones to be measured, the ones to receive the seal of God in there foreheads These are the elect, who don’t fall for 1st contact, aliens or fallen angels here again as the days of Noah, saying they created us The great delusion, that if it were possible would deceive the very elect, those with the seal of God in there foreheads, organized religion is used to teach doctrines of men, your teacher is the Holy Spirit, let me show you. John 14:26 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. This clearly tells you who your teacher is. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. Thus explains how Satan is transformed into an Angel of light, through religion, tracing pastors to teach doctrines of men. Matthew 15:9 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. This tells you anyone belonging to religion, worships in vain, how do we know ? John 4:24 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Clearly it says you’re to worship in spirit Revelation 17 The woman of Revelation 17, is the Catholic Church, mystery Babylon or Vatican City 🇻🇦 the mother of all harlots, the mother of all religions. Babylon means to confuse, confuse all who belong to religion, when 1st contact happens, aliens or fallen angels, the whole world will hate the woman, and all her harlots, the whole world will hate religion, the world will hate anyone who gives testimony to Jesus Christ. This is who he makes war with the saints and overcomes us, he has the support of the whole world to kill the 2 witnesses, Jews who believe and Gentiles who believe, and give testimony, while prophesying the first 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation, just as I prophesy to you now. There will o my best one calling up, that happens at the end of the Great Tribulation, @ Jesus returns, we are transformed in the blink of an eye, and meet Jesus in the clouds, and our enemies behold us as we rise to meet him.

I always like this concept of explaining it. Why would the Jews make up a false Christ when their Culture taught them that they would go to hell for worshipping a false God. Yet they did follow and Worship Jesus and willingly went to their Deaths for claiming to see him risen from the dead! That is a Historical truth claim. If you go to Muhammad now, He contradicts it. So we have to ask ourselves who is more reliable Muhammad or Jesus? Sure you might have Muslims with strong Faith willing to die for that belief. But the strength of their faith does not matter. Its the Objective of their Faith that matters. In other words. I might have a little bit of Faith in Jesus (THICK ICE) All I needed was a little faith and that thick ice, the Objective of my Faith, was solid and reliable. A Muslim can have EXTREME Faith in Thin Ice, Either way though the objective of his Faith is not reliable and he falls through the Ice. God said to Moses in the Spirit "Tell the people of Israel I AM WHO I AM, Tell them "I AM" has sent you" When Jesus said to the people "Before Abraham was born "I AM" and YAHWEH is the Hebrew word for I AM WHO I AM, It is derived off the word for I AM. Jesus clearly told us who he was. The disciples and over 500 eye witnesses claimed to have seen a risen Christ. Compare this perfect Sinless life of Jesus and the death and resurrection to Muhammad now. So Muhammad was 500 years after Christ, He never was a eye witness and is to young to have ever spoken with a eye witness. Muhammad was a war lord who lived by the Sword. How many wives did Muhammad have? What did Muhammad say about his enemies? What happen to Muhammad after death? Islam is a divided religion too. Some take the part of peace, Others take the part of Death to Infidels. Who is the thick ice we should put our Faith in Jesus or Muhammad?

Christian's (not generally) of course using their "Christian logic" and applying it to Islam. Turek says that the muslims haven't witnessed anything and of course he is talking about modern day muslims. I find this really weird. Basically what he is saying is that modern day muslims didn't witness anything but modern day Christian's have. If he is saying muslims at the time of the Prophet pbuh, then he severely lacks knowledge and history. There is no difference. Let's not consider religion to be true, what are martyrs dying for? Both Muslim and Christian martyrs are dying for their own *BELIEF* .

Who said they invented the resurrected Jesus? It's a story in a book. We have no way of verifying whether or not it is true. And who knows if the characters in the story died for believing the resurrection. No one knows for certain how the apostles died. Their martyrdom is just church tradition. Subsequent Christians may have been killed for refusing give up their BELIEF in the resurrection. That doesn't mean the story is true. Consider Thomas More, martyred in 1535 for refusing to relinquish his Catholicism. Does his death make Catholicism true?

My issue is that even if we concede that the eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection is compelling enough evidence there’s still other issues I have with Christianity. Like, why even base the salvation of humanity on a belief system when he knows our minds are limited and there’s always going to be different perspectives of things. Heck, even within the same beliefs there are different beliefs lol. So why even create such a standard knowing the outcome? It would’ve been much easier to base it on our behavior and how we treat one another? Not what we believe. Not to mention, hell for all of eternity is way too harsh of a punishment to give someone just because they didn’t accept something they weren’t convinced of. That doesn’t sound like a loving or understanding god to me. So like I said even if the whole martyr argument is solid there are still other issues Christianity has.
