I believe a different form of Democracy where an electing body of representatives, made up of community leaders from each tribe or region, meet to elect a Governing Council for the people. The sole purpose of the electing body is to interview and vet Governing Council applicants from the population, who have verifiable accomplishments in their community and in their careers. The electing body would also have the power to terminate members of the Governing Council at any time before their mandate to govern is over. This form of Democracy removes the need for elections, political parties, cronyism, corruption, and the lies politicians campaign on to win power not for the people, but for themselves! Fact is, voters can NEVER elect competent leaders who serve the interest of the country, because voters do not know the character or accomplishments of the candidate they are voting for, except what the candidate tells them in their campaigns! Politicians know that and capitalize on voter ignorance, and that's why they keep preaching the Western Democracy!
