If you cannot obey a simple command to get baptized, the scriptrues says, "He that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16). Obedience to the gospel is required for salvation, If you want to listen to people like this man in the video instead of Christ Jesus, you're letting someone else rob you of eternal life in heaven. To say it's not necessary is the same as telling someone who is getting married that they can still get married without loving their spouse. I mean thats a take. Technically true. But is it gonna help anyone? Stop describing commands of our Lord as technically "unnecessary" and just do them instead. We aren't saved by perfectly following rules, but this whole debate irks me in that it genuinely seems to undermine the importance of a direct command of our so-called LORD. Maybe thats just me! I'm thinking about those persons who, at last minute decided to give their lives to Christ on their "death bed" as the thief did. Am I to believe that Yeshua will turn them away because they waited last minute to give their lives to Him and was never water baptised? Absolutely not! That's not what the Word of God teaches us. If anyone thinks a person has to be baptised in order to get salvation, the are absolutely wrong. Romans 10:9-10 says "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
