Jesus was baptized so are they saying he was a sinner? Water baptism is a work of righteousness and we are not saved by our righteous acts. In fact they are as filthy rags. Water baptism is about having a good conscience according to 1 Peter 3:21. It's NOT an act of salvation. Paul said he was not called to baptize, but to preach the gospel. He differentiates the two in his statement to the Corinthians.

Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, âRepent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ John 3:5 Jesus answered, âTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.â Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Also Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself so be more kind to Frank he's still a human just like the rest of us.

Saying that baptism isn't a part of the Gospel may be one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard a preacher say! Then he says it's " an indication that you are saved" something that is never stated in the scriptures. Paul didnât say it isn't a part of the gospel. He is really out of touch with what the scriptures say. Jesus said. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Great Commission Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, âAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.â The first recorded Gospel Sermon: Acts 2:37â-âŹ38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, âBrothers, what shall we do?â And Peter said to them, âRepent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. These are just a few verses refuting his new age doctrine. He needs to read!

Did John the Baptist commit theological malpractice? At the time John the Baptist was baptizing Jews in the Jordan River the mechanism for the forgiveness of sins involved animal sacrifices under the Mosaic law. The sacrifice of Jesus in atonement for our sins had not yet happened but the time was near. We read in Mark 1:4 about a new mechanism for the forgiveness of sins, âso John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sinsâ. What are we to say if we believe that the baptisms of John were only symbolic? If the repentance and baptism did not forgive sins then John was a liar! The Jews would have been better to stick with the law God gave Moses! John the Baptist committed theological malpractice!!! Indeed none of that is true because the baptism did remove sin during the transition period between Mosaic law and The Law of Christ. As Jesus said to Nicodemus, âVery truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spiritâ (John 3:5). Indeed the mechanism of baptism remains one tool for the forgiveness of sins today. Acts 2:38, Peter 3:21.

Baptism is necessary for salvation into Christ Jesus. The scriptures tell us that the last commandment Christ gave to His Apostles and disciples was, "Go ye therefore, and teach ALL nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." That is the last commandment He gave to be followed completely and to the letter. If a person wants to do it their way, Christ Jesus will tell that person, "you have no part in my kingdom." There is an example in the bible where Jesus Christ was washing His disciples feet and Peter objected. He said he would not let the lord wash his feet (that job was performed by servants during that time period); "Thou shalt never wash my feet" (John 13:8). .Jesus Christ replied to Peter, " If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me" (John 13:8). If you cannot obey a simple command to get baptized, the scriptrues says, "He that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16). Obedience to the gospel is required for salvation, If you want to listen to people like this man in the video instead of Christ Jesus, you're letting someone else rob you of eternal life in heaven. It is your choice, not others to make for you.....God Bless all that obey the gospel of Christ Jesus.

Baptism is necessary for salvation (John 3:5). It is part of salvation (Mark 16:16). It saves you (I Peter 3:21). It is God's work, not our work (Titus 3:5). It applies several benefits according to the NT.

It just seems so simple to me. "If you love Me, keep My commandments." "Go forth and make disciples, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit..." It's a no-brainer. Just get baptized. To say it's not necessary is the same as telling someone who is getting married that they can still get married without loving their spouse. I mean thats a take. Technically true. But is it gonna help anyone? Stop describing commands of our Lord as technically "unnecessary" and just do them instead. We aren't saved by perfectly following rules, but this whole debate irks me in that it genuinely seems to undermine the importance of a direct command of our so-called LORD. Maybe thats just me! Hi I'm sorry not to agree with your human flesh statement .Why ? For many reasons : 1/ God , God of Abraham,of Isaac , of Jacob, is Spirit . And you Can t understand all His Ways with your human thoughts and explanations . 2/ Jesus Christ , the Son of God , humbled Himself by being baptized in water , although he didn t need to do so and in spite of John the Baptist's disagrement . So if anyone refuses to be baptized , consciensously or unconsciensously , he is pretending he is much greater than JĂSUS-CHRIST Himself . 3/Moreover , according to some verses in thĂ© Scriptures , the same one is ignoring ,due to uncomplete teaching ,thĂ© fact that the old man and old nature were putting to death with JĂSUS-CHRIST, and every one is invited to consider and to accept himself crucified with JĂSUS-CHRIST and in JĂSUS-CHRIST ( likĂ© Paul ) ,to be dead with HIM and in Him ,and to be buried ,that is to say to be baptized in water , to get rid of the dead old man and dead nature once for ever , and to put thĂ© new man created in JĂSUS-CHRIST .In all thĂšse step there are sanctification, circumcision . That is to je Born again . 4/ plus thĂ© forgiveness of sins by the pouring of JĂSUS-CHRIST 's blood , the blood of the Everlasting New Covenant As you Can , all JESUS' Ministry and Holy Spirit ' s one are to put inthe framework of the Everlasting New Covenant for God , LORD OF Abraham,of Isaac and of Jacob ,is Lord of Covenant. He Can 't admit any wrong interprĂ©tation and any interfĂ©rence from the human flesh . You are at great risks not to accept JESUS CHRIST example.

Jesus said in John 3:5 âexcept a man be born again of the water ( water baptism) and of the spirit ( filled with the Holy Spirit) he cannot enter the kingdom of God.â The Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our application to obey the gospel. Is repentance - dying to our self and life of sin. Baptism in Jesus Name - as Jesus was buried we are buried with Him in baptism Filled with the Holy Ghost - the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead shall also quicken you. Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them âRepent and be baptized everyone of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghostâ

Hearing this question, I am reminded of the thief on the cross in Luke 23:42-43. It says, "... Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" And He (Jesus) said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in paradise." There's no evidence in the Bible of this thief ever being baptized. Yet, Jesus promises him access into Heaven (Paradise) with Him. Now don't get me wrong, as a Christian, I believe in water Baptism, But do I believe this is necessary for salvation? No I don't. I'm thinking about those persons who, at last minute decided to give their lives to Christ on their "death bed" as the thief did. Am I to believe that Yeshua will turn them away because they waited last minute to give their lives to Him and was never water baptised? Absolutely not! That's not what the Word of God teaches us. If anyone thinks a person has to be baptised in order to get salvation, the are absolutely wrong. Romans 10:9-10 says "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Those are the only requirements necessary for salvation.
