There's also a popular notion that the earth is also called mother earth that gives us food(plants) and warmth(shelter and fire) I think religion or spirituality is totally all about morality period, but it gets corrupted and hijacked by mysticism and unrealistic magical thinking by illogical religious leaders. Why is that??? I think its because the human condition can be plagued by so many frustrations and pain which makes us 17:08 vulnerable to wishful and miraculous thinking. Everyone is vulnerable to wishful thinking at some degree in their lives especially if they're going through some tough painful times. In these circumstances it would be logical for anyone to hope for a miraculous outcome. But as family soldiers of life we've just got to battle on the best that we can for our survival and success. Learning about the physical materialistic world is very important but learning about the spiritual world of morality is most important. The spiritual world of morality is all about knowing what/who is sacred? and what/who is divine? Are we sacred? Are our parents and grandparents sacred? What moral teachings are divine in your opinion? If you can't answer these 2 important questions then you have a very mundane and meaningless outlook on life. Most people can't tolerate being around other people who have a mundane and meaningless outlook on life. Why?? Because they'll probably look at you as being mundane and meaningless too. As a Christian, the moral teachings and laws of Lord Jesus Christ teaches me that I myself and all other human beings are sacred. Love one another and yourself. The logic here is that when we dislike or hate other people we're actually disliking / hating ourselves or vice-versa. Why??? Because we're all of the human family or specie. Its an illusion to think that there's no interconnection between us and all other human beings. Which means we all have the same human feelings and concerns. I think it's disgusting and disrespectful when I hear atheistic scientists calling our ancestors primitive and stupid. If it wasn't for all their hard work and struggles for survival we all wouldn't be here today. So much for gratefulness and patriotism. I think the moral teachings of Lord Jesus Christ are divine because they keep us respecting and supporting one another. If that's not divinity then Iife is truly meaningless. I became a Christian because of the respectful and humanitarian moral teachings of Lord Jesus Christ not because of all the magical powers written about him in the New Testament.
