You can spend money doing this vacation yet dont want to spend money on equipment that can save your life, and you pass it of has cute, no its just stupid, these mountain huts are there for emergencies not free accommodation because you dont wanna spend the money on buying the correct stuff. And really important indeed: NEVER EVER eat berries from the ground. This is something many locals are also too wreckless with, but the fox population has like million folded in the past years and they can spread a parasite worse than your worst nightmare and it will kill you, no medicine or surgery can cure it. That being said, indeed the chances are very very small to get this, as I have lived here my whole life and I know A LOT of people and never even heard of a friend of a friend of a friend who had it. It was a measured risk. I’m very much like her where other people dont see the thought going into something. They only see the risk. She was prepared for whatever was to happen because what was valued for her was doing it. A measured amount of fear. A lot of u are just too scared of risk. And even after all of her struggles on this trip they found the good moments and took them. I see two very strong young women that are learning through experience. Nothing about this was romanticized. I’ve watched her videos for a long time. She learns through doing 🤷🏻‍♀️. In the end she struggles and ultimately learns a hard lesson. But she’s doing it and putting energy into it. One day we were up a trail, quite easy not steep and not even that high and suddenly we come upon 3 crosses and a remembrance plate: 3 mountain rescuers had died here some years ago. I was stunned: obviously experienced guys, and they died on this easy path? I expressed my amazement to the guide we had with us.
