With God there is no acting—what is done in the body is real before Him. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Just because a movie speaks about salvation does not mean it pleases God if it is done in disobedience. Jesus said many will say, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name?” yet He will say, “Depart from Me, you workers of iniquity.” God cares more about obedience than preaching or performance. Because of this, I am very careful what I watch. The church is compromising, and it grieves the Spirit. Christians fail to recognize what God calls "the pride of life." Which looks like the constant pursuit of pleasure, being entertained, living to be happy and self-fulfilled. Even Christians have made an idol of being entertained. Brothers & sisters, stay far away from the entertainment industry- an industry full of the Spirit of anti-Christ. There is nothing that has corrupted and blasphemed God like the entertainment industry. There are so many Scriptures warning of having anything to do with darkness. "Do not even give the appearance of evil." "Bad company corrupts." You won't change Hollywood. For example, iron man 1, Tony was in a cave oresumably dead for 3 days and seemingly rose up on the 3rd. Clear parallel to Jesus. A lot has indicated that Tony represents an antichrist figure.
