If you enjoy the *process* of doing it, it’s easy, you don’t need motivation, & β€œtough” is fun - but if you do it just to only to meet a *goal* without deciding to enjoy the process, to have a certain intensity, then it can fall into any negative thing you choose to make of it. The point is that you have a choice in how you see it, how you manage your thoughts about it. It’s not about the thing you do, it’s how you manage your mind, body, & energies - if you manage yourself, nothing is β€œtough”.>> <<@SydMountaineer says : He’s right, I have experience of this. There are things I did in the past (one of them is physical fitness related) that I wanted to do again, but it seemed β€œtough”, too hard, yet when I did them in the past, I didn’t even have to try or motivate myself. The difference is WHY I did what I did back then compared to the future: it was not to accomplish a goal, I was intensely into it because I enjoyed the process. I’ve heard Sadhguru talk about being intensely into doing something vs being goal accomplished, and this is exactly it. He talked about it in a video that showed images of people doing work sitting at a desks with computers to reach a goal (like a paycheck, raise to a higher level in a company, etc) VS people doing things because they loved the process of doing it, and how they were so much more successful, because they had a fire about what they were doing, the process of it, not goals that begin and end.>> <<@creepcraddle says : Ego is the enemy.
