People tend to confuse Nietzsche with Schopenhauer (Who was an actual nihilist or pessimist), and they are not the same, they just take him out of context so much it's sad. My boyfriend (who recently passed away) was a big fan of Nietzsche, and he used to fight against his own self, and I found true beauty on it, true inspiration, I saw him suffer the worst of the diseases a person can experience, and he would still stand up for life... He was the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, and I am so glad I got to meet him, his death destroyed me like nothing else had, but because of his example I keep pushing forward, like he did. I would endure all of that pain once again if it means meeting him, and I glad my mindset has changed to that as well.
