I live in a third world. In the third world, paradoxically, COVID was dealt with more democratically then in the west. And we live in an authocracy. They were first trying to do, what your governments did - shut everything down, snoop into your internal affairs. But, surprisingly, people rised up so rapidly, so openly, and in some kind of power - they even were ready to violently protest. Even when we have taxes cranked up, and inflation skyrocketing, we don't have that. The government was fking terrified. They rolled back every measure, and were like: "WOWOWOW, guys, we were just suggesting! Joking. Heheh. We won't do that, sorry" - and from that moment on, you could either wear a mask, or not. If you got sick you were just put in a covid unit for free. Vaccines were optional. Government in its initial phase tried to make them mandatory, but faced with extreme push back, rolled everything down. Today the entire covid policy was lifted and we live just like we did before 2019

I took the risk of getting vaccinated, 3 times even. After the first two times I just took it as a routine. I still don't know if that was the right decision. Maybe I was frightened into compliance. I just think that you should listen to experts and doctors and take things like a virus seriously but I don't know how much misinformation is there. And I also don't know if I'm qualified enough to do my own research. I'm just so tired... And I'm losing trust in not only the world but also in myself. Should we stop listening to doctors just because what they're saying is scary? We can all agree that listening to politicians about science is pretty foolish. But doctors? Or do we stop listening to them because we might hear biases and political agendas in their warnings? I really need help, man. I'm imagining a time in 10 years where we have studied this virus very deeply and can give out vaccines that will save everyone but I can't take it because it will kill me out of conflict to my "outdated vaccines". I'm just confused and scared... Thanks, world.

It is quite obvious at this point that Jordan peterson has gone off his rocker. The angry rhetoric without solution. His ignorance on science. And his greater disconnect with the majority of people to cement his controlling grasp on the few. He has forgotten his privilege and demands freedom he already has. He spits in the eyes of those all around the world who are not nearly lucky enough to live in a country like ours. To be him must be exhausting, I pity him.

Lockdowns ruined the critical developmental stages of hundreds of thousands of children and they also increased domestic and substance abuse to a large extent. People don't always get along, even people who love each other. Everyone needs time away to be able to recharge and do physical things that balance out personal conflicts. Opulence is good to an extent however everyone has spare time regardless of how busy they are. If you force people to stay home and they have no leash on their habits on top of giving them money you have a recipe for disaster. People who are obsessed with how they look and conditioning their body went into depression not being allowed to workout at the gym. People on the other end of the spectrum who overindulge in feeding themselves junk food did it even more and created a higher degree of jealousy and distain for people who are fit and even more pressure to prove to themselves they are not to blame for their bad habits. People who consume too much alcohol and drugs did more and more. Pharmaceutical drug abuse went up causing all kinds of chemical dependency issues. The damage the lockdowns did far outweighs the potential benefits. Not to mention the 30,000 civil servants who were fired by our government because they chose not to get vaccinated and the millions of people who's livelihood and family security have been destroyed because of mandates. Our current administration doesn't have a shred of culpability for anything. We desperately need cultural recovery and fiscal sobriety now.

Personally I realised that masks and vaccines were necessary for some time in order to minimise the spread of the virus - the thing that does bother me though is that some cynics seem to have got this idea that we are "supposed" to wear masks "for eternity", and that they cannot imagine that we might actually lose the need for masks.

On a bit more positive note I was outside the other day and I walked by a playground where lots of little kids were squealing and laughing. I thought at first how nice it felt to listen to that, and then I started to think about what it might be doing to those kids to have to wear a mask everywhere they go indoors. I bet it will not be good for the future generation.

I live in Tennessee, an hour south of Nashville, in a small town. When I travel north to the increasingly liberal Nashville, I seriously feel like I am in a different country. They have notices on the doors about masks, people everywhere with masks eager to give the mask less bad looks. I feel very uncomfortable in those liberal areas. I haven't really been effected much over covid mandates since I live in a Conservative state and very conservative county. It is odd to here Jordan Peterson say how he felt pretty free in Nashville. I cannot imagine being under such mandates as in Canada or other liberal states in the USA. He is right. We must not allow these governments to be tyrannical.
