I agree, what a lot of people don't understand about the sensor debate is that it's based on a photography standard rooted in older technology—similar to how the auto industry still uses horsepower as a reference. Does anyone really compare a car to a horse anymore? No, but we keep the terminology because it's a reference most people understand. In the photography world, most people know what a "1-inch sensor" means and don't see it as deceptive. When manufacturers highlight a "1-inch sensor" as a selling point on phones or compact cameras, it's meant to distinguish the camera from those with the more common 1/2.3 sensor, and there is a huge difference. The 1/2.3 sensor, like the "1-inch" sensor, is also based on outdated tech and doesn’t represent a precise physical measurement either. So overall, I wouldn't say this is a lie; it's just that most people misunderstand the terminology.

What is fascinating is people waiting for a tesla, period. Thinking they're environmentally friendly. I'd rather keep my drivers car like 93 RX-7 FD and 05 RX-8 and potentially Iconic SP. Speed is old fashioned these days. Many cars are fast, but are they fun?

13:10 I mean who/on what basis, gets to decide how bad the lie is? These companies are clever, they don't lie, rather subtly misguide. They should all together stop it, with the catchy lines and putting a tiny asterisk. That's not how tech should progress, however can't do anything about it :/

I feel like the sensor size thing continues to go on because if I'm a company putting out a sensor that is .63" then I'd be at a disadvantage by saying the actual size of the sensor when I could say it's a 1" sensor and it's the same size as all the companies claiming theirs is a 1' sensor, if that makes sense 😅

It’s really nothing new. Anybody remember the Sega Genesis “Blast Processing”? The Sega Genesis had it, while the Super Nintendo did not. What is “Blast Processing”? I don’t know. Makes things go faster or… something. Doesn’t matter! Shut up! Point is, it’s better that what the Super Nintendo has and everybody on the school playground will argue about it throughout much of the 90s. 😂😂😂

Dude, you have no idea what it takes to engineer a car that fast, and make it affordable as well. I'm not a Elon Musk fan,(he's costing me money right now ><)but I don't see wtf you're upset about. It takes time to launch something that performs properly, and many issues don't show up until a ton of regulatory safety, and performance testing is done, which is costly, in time, and money. You'd be crying about it being released too soon, otherwise. ALL car companies smudge the truth, it's not exclusive to "tech" companies, that doesn't make it right, but that's the way sales go. Also, it was just announced to be rolled out, you can go throw your money at it right now, if you want. I will be interested to see first true tests, some of the claims are a bit excessive for the current state of EV tech. I don't expect them to be on point, I'm just curious how far off they are, even if they're close, it's going to be one crazy little car! Many products are changed, or parts swapped out during initial release, as new contracts are drawn up, and expire, resources limited due to world events, so many variables, usually it's a cost reduction issue, keeping their product in range of their target demographic. I like your channel, but I don't like when people are petty af. People suck, get over it, hold them accountable, but don't target an area that's no more guilty than any other, unless you have concrete proof of some shady shit, done on purpose to screw us.
