It's clawing back its fanbase after a really bad acquisition by WizKids in the early 2000s did some real damage to the series. It has a universe as detailed as Star Wars, Star Trek, or WH40K, but eschews magic, psychics, and aliens for an endless war between human space empires. BattleTech was also a major inspiration for the original Armored Core. If you want a good look at it, check out the Tex Talks BattleTech series on YouTube. Stun needle really was the training wheels of the game. FromSoftware nerfed having two equipped in later patches. The gameplay flows really nice and has great customization allowing for really fun fights with a variety of cool stuff to do/witness. And the story is top notch heart tuggingly good.>> <<@rokahn says : You know what, I do disagree with a lot of the points at the begging, except the difficulty it is easy especially the first few missions. But this game was so much fun, and honestly to S rank the missions you really had to put effort and though into what you were doing. Saying that I think one of the weakness of From Soft is how they badly they cater for people that are willing to complete their games.
