That alone has saved more lives than all the war casualties combined... in the modern world at least, where we live long and have almost 50% chance to get diagnosed with cancer... many of which are treated by the chemo. I was treated by the chemotherapy for a rare subtype of lymphoma four years ago and cured. Was Robert Oppenheimer called a war criminal ? No .. , History is written by the winner of the War and Germany lost the War while the USA won it . Chemical Weapons are bad , but at least they were not used against civilians in the first World War . Biological Weapons are even worse than cheamical Weapons , i dont know who invented them , but China , USA , Russia and others have them . Fritz Haber was great in chemistry , without WW1 he would be a big Hero who solved the hunger in the World with his artificial Fertiliser , his Problem was , he was a patriot and used all of his abilitys to win the War for Germany , this included the development of chemical Weapons . If you condemn Fritz Haber you have to condemn Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project as well and any other developer of Weapons / Mass destruction Weapons>> <<@xihai says : 19:21 The video was great but I can't agree on that take. If it were we'd be 50,000 years ahead of where we are because the human species has been essentially the same for that long, so it would stand to reason that all these things should have been invented thousands of years ago. But one man is not the same as another. There are some people that are just freaks of nature that can understand things that most of us could not. For example Nikolai Tesla. Probably the most overlooked genius in the history of mankind. And arguably the man who has single-handedly transformed modern society more than any other man in history. Just imagine what the world would be like without alternating current. Power stations every mile because of terrible losses in transmission lines. Without the efficiency of the alternating current system the world would be a completely different place. And it's entirely possible that nobody else would have invented it for another hundred years or more. Thomas Edison, who was widely regarded as the smartest inventor of his time (obviously he wasn't) couldn't figure it out, and didn't believe Tesla could either. And this (Edison) is a man who was no dummy himself and had a building full of hundreds of scientists and engineers - some of the smartest people on earth and they could not figure this problem out. Great educational video though. And thank you all for producing this stuff. Especially since the major networks no longer even try to produce educational content.>> <<@TheMegatuz says : Damn.
