If you are saved you are sanctified! To be sanctified means to be set apart. We are set apart for God the moment we are saved. It is at that moment we receive every spiritual blessing. Therefore, we spend the rest of our lives resting from our works as God reveals all we have been given in Him. As we discover all we have our sins will diminish as a byproduct. BTW, the Gospel is sin, death, forgiveness, and the restoration of the life of God.

says :
Sin is defined as transgression of the law (like breaking the law). Therefore, repenting "of your sins" is keeping the law. Keeping the law is defined as works of the law. (The 10 Commandments is the Moral Law.) The Bible warns us that salvation is for he who worketh NOT, that by NO WORKS of the law shall any flesh be justified (justified in the Bible lexicon is defined as "proclaimed sinless, innocent, blameless before God"). So, to be saved, believe on (trust) the Lord Jesus Christ and HIS finished work on the cross, death, burial & physical resurrection. To serve the Lord, turn from your sins. Our works of righteousness are like filthy rags. We have nothing to offer Him. Salvation is a FREE GIFT received by trust. In 1 Timothy we, as saved believers, are beseeched (asked/begged) to present our bodies holy (separate from the world), as living sacrifices (to fight the urge to sin) which is our REASONABLE SERVICE to the Lord. We serve Him this way. It's also how we show our love ("If you LOVE Me keep My commandments."). Discipleship is not about being saved, it's about being a student. We all spiritually mature at different rates... & some stay immature. Believe on (trust) the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved. Trust in Christ's finished work on the cross & don't trust in your own works of righteousness. Lordship salvation is back loaded works salvation... which is no salvation at all.

Nations have been at war( no peace) since the beginning of civilisation(almost 6 000 years ago - about the time of Adam and Eve, 6 days of creation in which a day is equivalent to 1000 years, prophetically speaking) “While our ancestors have been around for about six million years, the modern form of humans only evolved about 200,000 years ago. Civilization as we know it is only about 6,000 years old, and industrialization started in the earnest only in the 1800s.” - google Mar 13:10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all NATIONS. Gal 3:8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the NATIONS through faith, preached the gospel before to Abraham, saying, "In you shall all NATIONS be blessed." The gospel, lost in the idolatry of religion, thus addresses NATIONAL AFFAIRS. The gospel confronts “the elect” in NATIONAL AFFAIRS. This gospel has not been preached yet, till “the end” Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all NATIONS. And THEN the end shall come. Why wasn’t it preached yet? Because of “many false prophets” BEFORE the END of the age(time of harvest). Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many. Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold. Mat 24:13 But he who endures to THE END, the same shall be kept safe. Mat 24:14 And THIA GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all NATIONS. And then the end shall come. Nations shall be confronted by issues relating to the Father(Will/sovereignty), the Son(the bridge) and the Spirit(dove/peace) Mat 6:9 Therefore pray in this way: Our Father(sovereignty/highest authority), who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Mat 6:10 Your KINGDOM(national) come, Your WILL be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. There is no truth in the religious gospel(perpetuated) of the doctrines of man/demons. You can’t address nations with an idolatrous/religious gospel(worshipping Christ as an Idol) because such a silly gospel won’t work!!

Scholars conclude that the earliest gospel was that of Mark. This was written maybe sometime after 70CE (probably before 80CE but some sources say it is later). It is written in very educated greek and the author's errors in certain aspects of jewish and judean life and the roman occupation strongly suggests the the author is not jewish nor had ever lived in Judea. The work is written using stylistic methods usually associated with fictional works. It uses symmetric themes, allegories etc. It does not read like a historical account. The author also does not claim to be an eye-witness and expressly says that the work is meant to convert people to christianity. There is a clear attempt to make the character of Jesus fit with OT messianic prophecies but the text makes numerous errors in attempting this most likely, scholars suggest, because the wuthor was using a bad translation of OT scriptures as a source. For example the passage about the piercing and hands and feet and casting lots for clothes is actually taken from the psalms and is not a prophecy but (allegedly) David's account of an attack he himself suffered. All this makes the gospel of Mark very dubious as being of any value as a historical account (and thus so are Luke and Matthew which both are basically rewrites of Mark). Its value is in expression of the Euhemeristic version of christianity that Mark is pushing. It defines a version of christianity that seems quite distinct from that depicted in the Pauline epistles (the likely authentic ones anyway) and the other forms of christianity (from docetic to what would later be referred to as ebionite) that were around during the 1st and 2nd centuries before rival forms began to either merge or be supressed until the Roman- Nicene creed emerges in the 4th century. We can only imagine what christian literature has been lost or destroyed from these first 3 to 4 centuries because of the rivalries and conflicts between differing forms of christianity.

You didn't explain the gospel! For those who want to know. The gospel is found in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1-4 Their are 5 points to the gospel. 1. Christ died 2. For our sins 3. Was buried 4. Then rose from the dead. 5. According to the scriptures. This is the good news that was given to Paul by Jesus Christ the Lord... Number 2 is what makes Paul's Gospel different from Peter's teachings. Only the finished work of Jesus Christ the Lord, through His shed blood are we saved, no other way. You cannot work your way to heaven.

Here is the prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for laying Your life on the cross for my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. It's amazing how many people say they're christian and don't even know what that means. Often times when people tell me they're christian I do ask them what they mean by that, and then If I notice something for example if they say they dont read the bible, then I would tell them (not rudely) why they're actually not a christian. People need to know the truth, and though they might get offended, I have to love them enough to put their feelings aside and then tell them the truth.

Mostly unrealistic theology which causes problems for various believers? //0:15 "We have people all the time that claim to be Christian but they appear to have no power over sin"// Do any of you? Look at it this way - you all continue to sin. And for all of you, there are some sins you struggle with more than you do with other sins. Your faith has helped and continues to help in some areas of your lives, just not all areas. ^^ I think you need to recognise this and stop pretending that the real Christians are those who "have power over sin", and that all others cannot be real Christians. Like the rest of humanity, even 'real Christians' often struggle. I suspect that to fail to accept this simple fact leads many people to depression and anxiety. They see other people seemingly overcoming certain problems with relative ease and compare this to their own daily and ongoing struggles. It places them in a terrible situation because they come to believe that they are not 'Christian enough', that there is something wrong with their faith, that God is not really with them. And so they try to pray harder, but they continue to struggle and fail. So they get more anxious. It becomes a vicious circle. //1:15 "They need to understand the power of the Holy Spirit."// The Ravi Zacharias "incident" showed the world the limits of that power. The daily failings of 'true Christians' or 'real men of God' shows the limits of that power. //1:22 "... the other group that says - 'Hey I'm born again. I can do whatever I want. I'm going to heaven.' Dude. You have deceived yourself. ... according to first John, 'the truth is not in you''"// Indeed. I've come across such people, and like presuppositional apologists, they appear extraordinarily arrogant. I think the verse being referred to is the following 1John 1:8:- "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us." I presume that the person thinks that all past, present and future sins have been forgiven. Not that the person does not sin. But rather that all sins have been forgiven. Maybe that is why some believers think this way? If so then it's another example of how Christian theologies can harm the minds of believers.

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 2 parts here declare that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. and believe in your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead. Maybe some declare and know that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. but dont know about or believe in HIS reserection so they dont know or believe that they are a new creation,so still struggle badly with sin or addiction or mental ilness.

The word gospel literally means “good news” and occurs 93 times in the Bible, exclusively in the New Testament. In Greek, it is the word euaggelion, from which we get our English words evangelist, evangel, and evangelical. The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation.

I'll believe a god exists when it proves it to me, not on the word of my fellow humans. There is only one God who is eternally manifesting himself in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, that we are all sinners. As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one. Romans 3:10 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6 For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 (The word “death” in this verse speaks of spiritual death in hell.) But the cowardly, UNBELIEVING, Abominable murderers. Sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Rev 21:8 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18 Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures 1Cor 15 3:8 In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14 For by grace ye are saved; through faith and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast EPH 2:8 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vein Galatians 2:21 If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior. Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and trust in Jesus and only Jesus to save you. You can say a prayer expressing your gratitude, sorrow for your sins, etc. the words don’t matter, but remember your prayer DOES NOT save you. Your trust in Jesus and what He did for you on the cross is what saves you. The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and are saved forever.

This answer is pointless, because it doesn't answer the question. He talks about the lordship of Christ but he doesn't explain anything about how to get to the point of being transformed. The question was how do you go from being a believer to being conformed to the image. The answer is first meditation on the word of God and second praying in the Spirit, for in meditation the word of God is ministered to our spirit by our own mouths and by the Spirit within us and faith comes to us by the revelation the Spirit gives us in our meditation, and in praying in the Spirit we build ourselves up on that faith which was given to us by the hearing of the word of God. These things become more possible the more you you put Christ in His place as your Lord. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Romans 8:26-30 NLT But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:20-21 KJV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:7-8 KJV If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:7-14 KJV Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3 KJV

The “gospel”, is the good news that the time God fixes the world is almost here. God chose a King of this future Earth who is the one who announced its coming reality and existence to us in the first place. The King has said he will allow anyone to be part of this restored earth, anyone who accepts him as from God and telling the truth and therefore does what he says. He has payed for all of us to have entry, and for forgiveness from God, and for all the benefits that come from both like eternal life in the coming paradise on earth forever. The King only asks us to really believe this is a reality that’s coming and to start living and acting like it, to believe in and obey the guidelines that will guarantee us access. Anyone who refuses to believe him and this and therefore refuses to change their lives in a way that will grant them access to this future life will deny themselves entrance. It’s pretty simple and awesome. We’re also promised rulership over the earth. We will be the ones helping take care of it with him as little Kings.
