George Floyd did not die at the scene. He died hours later and the tox results confirmed a high ammount of drugs. Did the stress and possibly breathing issues contribute. Maybe. But its also an issue that consistentlyhe was able to yell throughout the arrest. Indicating no issues breathing. Also the knee was on the back of the neck which is a common form of control. It was used by officers a lot but not anymore for obvious reasons. It does not cause breathing issues normally. The body cam also showed floyd struggling intensely the whole arrest which caused the longevity of the situation.
