If you constantly crave connection and feel lonely - you are not an introvert, you are an extrovert. This study seems to reflect the same assumption that society often makes: that close relationships are everyone’s main source of meaning and happiness. And it might be true for the majority of population! For people who value relationships above all else, it makes sense that losing them would become a major source of regret later in life. But that doesn’t mean everyone has the same priorities. As an introvert whose core values are freedom and exploration, I know I’m happier without relationships. I repeatedly tried to force myself into relationships because I thought I was supposed to want them. It ended up making everyone involved unhappy. You don’t need to get married to be happy. You need to understand what matters most to you and build a life that reflects it. Know you core values!>> <<@forevergypsy13 says : very sad when science forget to take a HUGE aspect into consideration: we are ALL different.
