Wish me luck on trying Linux!>> <<@merdumgiriz-6155 says : It doesn't just format. It also allows you to install Windows or Linux on fixed-size VHDs and use an unlimited number of operating systems from the same computer or on a portable device. You can also run any VHD or ISO on your PC by pressing F2 at startup. The disk needs to be a .vhd and fixed-size (not variable). After creating it in VirtualBox and performing the initial format, you can launch it from Ventoy and configure it as you wish. It works on almost every PC. I use around 10-15 different OSs: 3-4 different Windows 11, Windows 10, Linux, Strelec, WinPE, etc. I boot from whichever one I feel like. I'm currently on Kubuntu 26. I'll be switching to Win11-IOT-LTSC soon. :) I've also installed it on my PC's SSD. If one crashes, I switch to another. I delete the crashed VHD and restore it from a backup, and that's it. If you right-click on the disks and disable indexing, it's even faster. In Linux distributions, you need to change the file extension to vhd.vtoy and run a small script. I also use it as a ready-made image for formatting.>> <<@edzspace1 says : Well that went bad!!! just bought a 64 gig thumb dive so I could follow along. I put Windows 10, 7, and 11 in GPT and UEFI on the Ventoy flash drive, but it did not work in MBR and BIOS. I solved this problem by changing the text mode. Friends who have problems with MBR can solve the screen mode by pressing the F5 key in the Ventoy main menu, selecting resolution mode, and changing to text mode, then pressing Enter on Windows.I should also mention that Ventoy may not be compatible with some motherboards. I have a computer at home, the model is Gigabyte H310 MS2H, that works in UEFI GPT mode and MBR BIOS mode. However, on my office computer, the model is Asus H110 M/PS, it works in UEFI GPT mode but does not work in MBR BIOS mode. This was fixed by changing the screen mode to text mode. Ventoy is incompatible with MBR.>> <<@pecm says : I love your sassy remarks πŸ˜†πŸ˜†>> <<@WalterPetrovic says : Your vids are great, Thanks. I had to try this bugger a few times, but finally got it installed on my flash drive. Now that I know how to do this, I will try a larger flash drive than 32 Gb, if I wish to downloads most of the Linus distros, to try out. Right now I am running Mint. I don't want anything to do with Windows anymore. But I would like to play around with as many distros as possible, but I didn't want to do one stick, at a time. Again, thanks.>> <<@teclote says : Outstanding, thank you.>> <<@besensibledude says : I installed the Ventoy for Linux mint on a stick. I also Installed the iso for Win on the same stick.
