From What is a Wombat, to Judged and Am I Lazy, Matt's main character productions work because they rely on his presence and wit. The razor thing was good fun and actually did have self-irony, so I approached this one expecting more. Especially after all that pre-release fanfare. It was triggering because of who made it. Just "class warfare" things. If I'm being extremely generous, I would say making it so milquetoast was intentional to highlight that exact problem. I dont expect them to go that deep into it but the lack of accurate representation from the actual trans and drag characters to combat what the men pretending to be women act like, it left a really sour taste. A movie can have trans jokes, but without accuracy it just feels like propoganda disguised as "comedy".
