It's like the Impalas. It's not that they don't get points for not grooming others. They lose trust and can die, it's not a point system. Plus other Impalas know you defected when you do it. Meaning they can learn. Make the tournament for the prisoners dilemma not with just points but health points. I don't see it as a dilemma, because it would work only in machines as living things has ego and survival instinct. No mater how forgiving an Impala is, if you put 2 of them alone in a situation where one is close to being on its last leg(but no ticks, no grooming needed) and one that is relatively healthy(but needs intense grooming), it wont groom it because it would mean spending energy that it needs to survive. So its not a dilemma if being nice and forgiving comes with no expenses and no ego loss.>> <<@furkansevindi2405 says : Peki 3 hatayı affetsek 3'den sonrası içinde hep kırmızı yapsak.Böylelikle hak edene iyilik olur.Kaybederiz ama adalet olur.>> <<@aniballecter6054 says : *The problem with the prisoner's dilemma is that everything depends on the reward...if you give a gigantic reward for the worst decision then it becomes the best decision, if you steal 1 billion dollars and if you don't say where the money is you go to jail for 20 years then that's 50 million for each year, that does compensate...and everything else is the same.*>> <<@xbravo13805 says : Anyone here cause of the war going on 9:50>> <<@VillaVilla12 says : I share the gospel with you. We invite you to repent, believe in it, and be transformed in Christ Jesus. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Do you believe in Jesus? We invite you to believe in him, to develop intimacy with the Lord and the Father, to be transformed and reborn in Christ, to believe that Jesus died for our sins and to be forgiven. But remember, the path will not be easy, it will not be comfortable, but it is worth it. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. Do you want to be saved? You have to be willing to give up everything you love (not literally, but to love God above all things, as well as love your neighbor as yourself). You have to pray, fast, read, study, and meditate on the Bible, obeying Him, not out of obligation, but out of love for God. Salvation cannot be bought or earned; it is an undeserved gift, but He loves us so much that He gives it to us, and it's free. But remember, you have to believe in Jesus. Only in Him. Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus is the only way to the Father; there is no other way to attain salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Faith in Jesus Christ is the answer to salvation. He is coming soon, and His coming will be like a thief who breaks in the night. They are free to choose, but I tell you from experience, He is very patient, loving, and merciful. There is no human measure that can compare to His love, which is infinite. I hope this helps. Bye and blessings. وبالايثار انتشر الاسلام في العالم.>> <<@dawiszarins2088 says : Did anyone hear the broadcast that finally broke through the silence at midnight? Science calls it "Generous Tit for Tat": Defend yourself proportionately against injustice, but always leave room for forgiveness to heal and move forward. The Quran perfectly balances human dignity with supreme mercy. Take a moment to reflect on these beautiful verses: [42:39] "And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves." [42:40] "And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers." [42:41] "And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame]." [42:42] "The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment." [42:43] "And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.">> <<@AGMO-f7w says : This is just amazing... If this was not the case then you would not need maximum score maximum score can only matter if you're not trying to meet somebody else's score. If you are trying to compete with another person's score then you can get a lower score and still win but not in this scenario. To claim that "Christianity" as a whole _never_ uses Tit-for-Tat _at all_ would imply that Christian _societies,_ as a whole, had embraced Quaker-style pacifism, never used the death penalty, and never even imprisoned thieves or brawlers or tax-dodgers. Historically, that's _false._ So the characterization must not be true. In fact, all the _legal systems_ proposed by Christian societies look more like Tit-for-Tat, don't they? Look at every majority-Christian society in history: _NONE_ of them ever held that "turn the other cheek" means the police are committing evil if they put a murderer in prison, have they? On the contrary: They've held that _the punishment must fit the crime._ Which sounds a lot like "an eye for an eye." (This is _another_ phrase which is nearly always misunderstood.) In context, "an eye for an eye" meant: "Take _no more than_ an eye, if the damages done to you involve _no more than_ the loss of an eye." The lesson was: If a guy insults your brother, you are _not_ permitted, in vengeance, to murder him, his family, his friends, and everyone he ever met. (Humans, as our history amply demonstrates, are the kind of creatures, remember, who need to be reminded of these things.) And the lesson in which Jesus uses the phrase "turn the other cheek" is similar: Christianity requires forgiving outrages so that our _scalded, enraged pride_ is not given free-reign. But this need not have _any_ effect on whether _justice_ is done: That's a separate matter. In fact, when asked what a local Roman soldier -- charged with police-like duties in that region -- should do, to live morally, Jesus did not instruct him "never bear weapons, don't use force against those who commit forcible wrongs; just turn the other cheek." Instead, Jesus instructed the soldier, "Do not wrongly accuse people of crimes they didn't commit, or extort money out of them." (In other words: "Go on being a cop, using force against criminals, but don't be a dirty cop.") "Tit for Tat" is pretty much what every Christian society has asked of its justice system. The "turn the other cheek" rule, however, is mostly used against men who would _challenge another man to a duel over some personal offense._ This practice was gradually outlawed in majority-Christian societies because, according to Christians, _offensive words are categorically different from violence._ That shows you how "Christianity" actually uses the phrase "turn the other cheek." A non-Christian (like, I suspect, the fellow in the video) might, of course, presumptuously claim that _they know better_ what Jesus was trying to teach, than the Christians do. But, realistically: What're the odds he's right, about that?>> <<@christinemcbrier8904 says : There is one part of the theory you didn't include. That is when a player quits.>> <<@Andy-AJC72 says : 15:45 “Turn the other cheek” is often misrepresented as a soft philosophy where you allow your opponent to trample all over you. When someone defects, the outcome is 5 and when both contribute the outcome is 6. This is the reason that makes a "nice" strategy get better results. But if the "defect vs contribute" result would be 6 vs 0, wouldn't be any diference in the outcome unless that booth defects, giving the outcome of 2. The problem it's just that the creators off the game assigned more value to strategies that contribute more and than the contribution strategies get better outcome. It's a circular thing. The game result doesn't apply in the real life because in the real world we don't know the outcome. Besides, in the real world, when you don't contribute the other part don't just don't contribute too, but leave the game or beat your ass up till you go to ICU. That if the other part don't just kill you, take all your points, rape your wife and set your house on fire, all this without any punishment.>>
